The product is used in my son's bedroom. He used to suffer from itchy eyes or sore throat every mroning, but after using the air purifier, I noticed that he doesn't suffer from itchy eyes nor sore throat.

This is the second Sharp Plasmacluster we've owned. The first one is still running strong after 2 years. This new larger unit is for a 500 sq. ft. room and it seems to be doing a pretty good job during pollen season, but we run in on high when we aren't in the room. The water tank needs refilling at least once a day. A larger tank would have been nice, but at least I know that it disperses the water into the room quickly. I liked the remote on the older unit, but the quality of this unit and the expected long life far outweigh this minor drawback.
The other pecularity is that this unit draws air from the back side, so we generally have the unit facing backwards into the room and the output vent is not adjustable like the old one.

My wife has a cedar pollen allergy and we live in the heart of cedar (ash juniper) country. After we started using this air purifier, she wakes up with no allergy symptoms, a dramatic improvement. This unit is so quiet we can leave it on at night and you have to listen hard to detect it - it doesn't interfere with sleeping at all on the low setting. Ability to turn of the indicator lights is a nice feature. Filling the humidity tank is a little awkward and the tank doesn't seem like it would survive a drop.
