there are so many different settings that it is taking a while to learn what they all do. I tried to melt chocolate at the lowest setting and it burned. I will not recommend it for that, although melting butter is good. It takes half the time to heat things compared to my last microwave oven.

I really like this microwave-it's easy to operate and stylish. The only cons are that it smudges very easily (common with stainless steel) and when I press the button to open the door, the entire microwave shifts (maybe too lightweight...).
