When I purchased an HDTV, I needed to boost the sound level beyond the quasi-surround sound provided by the television's internal speakers. I also needed a system that would allow for optimal placing of the speakers but without the necessary wall/ceiling space to do so.
This system fit the bill very nicely with its very attractive floor standing speakers which look right at home regardless of your personal decor.
Since my main purpose for this purchase was to enhance my television and movie viewing experience, I was much less focused on the music or game playing ability of the system, and as of now, I have not even touched on either of those aspects at all.
The only negative thing I can think of is that the remote has a bit of a learning curve in order to figure out how to get everything working together between the receiver, tv, dvd, and cable box, unless all your components are Sony Bravia, which mine aren't. Although I must say, once you get it all figured out, the end result is well worth the intitial aggravation!
I'm currently using this system in conjuntion with a Hitachi 50" plasma HDTV, a Comcast/Motorola DVR cable box, and a JVC standard definition DVD player, and I couldn't be happier with the results, and I don't think the average consumer would be either.
ABT Electronics provided excellent service, from the initial purchase on their website, and fast, prompt delivery to my home in 3 days via UPS! Product arrived in excellent condition in it's factory-sealed carton. I would do business with ABT in the future, and would recommend them to friends and family.

Very disappointed in the product. Poor sound quality coupled with static from front right speaker. The receiver has a high tech look, but the speakers feel and look cheap.
Delivery was prompt and packaging was good.

You will not find a better HTIB system. . .period. Considering the price, there is no way you can't buy this. I have it hooked up to Sony SXRD 1080P and HD-DVD Player.

This unit works pefically with the Sony 46" Bravia LCD. It is meant to Sync up it and it does. Simple set up.

This Sony Bravia Home Theater component is really a fanastic one for the $499 I really enjoyed using it. Very easy to set-up and the sursound sound was really fantastic. I struggled a lot to get one for my blu ray player and finally i got this one and it was awesome.
