I had been using the suction cups that came with my detector for many years but they started wearing out. I wish I would've bought this years ago. This makes it easy to move my radar detector from one vehicle to another.

A year ago I purchased 2 "heavy duty" mounts to replace the very poor original factory mounts. The first failed within a month and the second has been falling occasionally and has now completely failed. It is very disconcerting that Escort make a great detector only to use an extremely poor mounting system. The plastic spring loaded connector rod to the suction cup evidently cannot withstand the pressure. When you have your installed wiring pulled out and your interior damaged due to your detector falling it is very frustrating.

I doubt this review will be posted but hopefully the engineering or procurement folks at Escort will take this feedback and improve the mounts.
