I have been enjoying my iM600 for nearly two years. It has been great for my intended use. I use it for FM and iPod listening both at home and in diverse work locations. Love the way if folds up flat for an easy fit into a brief case or back pack. Love the long battery playing time. Of course it doesn't have the base of a hight-end audio system. But the sound is very good and clear ... and it can easily fill conference rooms. Without hesitation, I can happily recommend it. I feel it is brilliantly designed and a great value.

Easy setup. Good sound . Don't think it's on par with a Bose unit but it's a fraction of the price. Would like to see a case included. Overall quite pleased.

This is a great value in an iPod accessory. No question that it does not quite have the overall sound quality of the larger and more expensive units, such as the $300 (overpriced) Bose system. But it has some advantages even over that system, particularly the fact that it will run on batteries for many hours. Highly portable. Does not have great bass, and you will have to set your iPod to bass enhancement in its internal equalization options (under the playback menu). This is a bit of a chore, if you have to switch back and forth between this system and one that does not require equalization (such as a good stereo system). However for the money this is clearly a great value. The remote control allows you to go forward and backwards within an iPod menu of songs. Their proprietary ESS signal processing algorithm (ostensibly to give enhanced stereo separation in a small speaker system) introduces some tonal abnormalities and for this reason I believe is useless. Highly Recommended Overall, despite its obvious low-end deficiencies and the ESS issue. However, one cannot expect great low end from such a small system.

The only problem with it is that it does not come with a case and does not protect well when traveling. To solve the problem, I bought a cover from bestbuy for a portable cd player. The speakers fit perfectly inside and now it is so easy to travel with and it always protected.

I use this at work and have had a lot of great comments from everyone about the sound. They compare it in looks and sound to the more expensive Bose system.

It delivers crisp clear sound, at a respectable volume, but its portability falls a little short. You get the impression that the battery pac was an after thought.

I listen to books on tape/cd. I can easily attach my personal cd player or tape player to listen to books anywhere in the house. My laptop hooks up so I can livestream without having to download a podcast. I got it to play Xmas music in the dining room without having to add additional speakers. I'll be getting another for my husbands home office.

I am really impressed with the sound quality from such a small, attractive package. Easy to set up and operate and the ability to move wherever you need your music makes the iM600 a great choice.

Works as advertised, decent sound from a small device and very lightweight. Would be nice if it did secure the Nano a little better but won't be moving around with it much to make that big a difference in the long run.

I bought the IM600 for the office to replace my IM3C, primarily because of the IM 600's FM radio. Although the IM3C is an excellent travel speaker and dock with decent overall sound, it doesn't compare to the sound of the IM600 which is, in a word, outdstanding. While not as robust as my Bose Soundock, in terms of bass, it's a close second and a tremendous bargain [...]. I just wish Altec Lansing had included a carrying case as the unit is quite a bit bulkier than the IM3C (though still quite portable). All is all, I highly recommend the IM600 for home and office use!

I can easily carry it to and at work because it fits nicely into the laptop computer section of my briefcase. At work it produces very nice music which easily fills quite good sized conference rooms.

My only disappointment is that I can't control it, with the remote, from behind.

The only problem is changing the IPOD adaptors (Video vs Nano) BUT that is the ONLY bad thing I can say - GREAT SOUND - GREAT BATTERY LIFE - Remote works well - I am very pleased :-)
