This product worked great for the first year and then as soon as warranty was up the lamp dies and it costs at least 200 bucks to get a new replacement. I read a lot of forums and this is very common with this model. Buyers beware. If you haven't experienced this yet give it time because problem seems very common, should have done my homework before buying this.

Abt Electronics Response: The lifespan of the lamp may vary, the typical time frame is about 3 years. Normally, heavy usage may provide less time and would need to be replaced sooner. The lamps normally cost about $200. If you are in need of bulb replacement please contact us at 888-228-5800.

Wanted a big screen with good picture quality & didn't want to be held hostage with a huge purchase price of a Plasma or LCD.

This TV brings it all home for a modest price. Easy set up and easy read remote are an added plus.

This is a good TV for those who want a bigger screen for a smaller price. Games won't burn in on this screen like plasmas and along with DVD movies, look good with S-video and component inputs. I have always had positive results with sony TV's and this model looks like it will continue with my approval.

I bought this TV this weekend and so far it was been great. I got an upconvert Sony HDMI DVD player and the picture is better then at the store. Only cons are the remote and the flimsy contruction. The remote doesnt light up in the dark and its HUGE. The TV is made of all plastic so I am always afraid I am going to break it. I like it all around though, cant beat the price.
