I bought this item hoping it was everything it was advertised to be, and it was. It is roomy, durable, and a nice looking bag. I was surprised at how much equipment I could fit into the backpack without compromising the protection of the equipment. The side access allows the photographer to get to your camera and the accessories without having to put the backpack down on the ground risking dirt getting in place you don't want it. I highly recommend this backpack and if I ever need to replace it I will purchase another Lowepro slingshot backpack.

Definitely one of the top camera bags, I would recommend this to anyone, though I would discourage consideration of the 100 AW, the 200 AW has just enough room, and if you need any more, the 300 AW is perfect.

One of my favourite features of this pack is the stability strap, I do a good amount of nature shooting and I find myself down on my knees and stomach a lot, with my old pack it would sling around me shoulder and down in front of me causing problems with mobility, with the Lowepro Slingshot 200 AW I just snap in the stability strap and I can crawl around as much as I need without my gear leaving my back.

Accessibility is okay, you sling the pack around and you have access to your camera, though it is a little troublesome to pull a lens out without taking the camera off your back, but I've never had any problems or drops so it's not too much of a problem.

And I love the slots for the lowepro expansions. You don't necessarily have to use the lowepro extensions to use the slots, while a bit cumbersome I find it great to slide one of the arms of my tripod through to carry it hands-free.

Overall this is an excellent pack for any photographer on the go, I would discourage the 100, encourage the 200, and suggest the 300 for those who want a bit more room.

this sling bag is being taken on our european trip. i was looking for a safe way to transport my equipment and this sling bag is just the ticket. very comfortable, sturdy, well padded and lots of ways to store your gear

I really do like this bag and I like the way that I can just bring it around front for access to my camera. The only thing that I can see that would be an improvement is for the main zipper compartment to have a zipper all the way around so that one could get to the "other" stuff in the bag without having the camera side open. Other than that I am sure glad that i purchased it.

Good bag to carry around city, easy access to camera without taking bag off so not walking around like a tourist with camera hanging around neck. Also good to store gear.

I took this pack out on a day trip this past weekend. I had it loaded with my Rebel XT c/w battery grip and 18-55mm, plus my 70-300mm IS, 60mm macro, and 380EX flash. I wanted to know what the pack would feel like hiking with ALL my gear inside. I was very pleased with the feel. The main strap is wide and nicely padded. The part that rests against your back is also nicely padded. I didn't use the supplemental strap so I can't comment on that. I also like the little loop handle at the top of the pack. This makes it easy to carry to and from the car and around the house. Access to the camera is straightforward and as advertised, but I felt the need to put the pack down if I was going to change lenses. It's just not safe to unclip the latches and zip open the whole pack while in the "sling" position. This pack is just right for all my gear. The 70-300 fits vertically in one of the padded compartments. The 60mm is beside it and the flash fits horizontaly in another compartment on the other side of the camera. If you had a longer lens though such as a 70-200L you would need to store it horizontally in one of the compartments or mounted on the camera. I still have room for other items in the top and outer pockets. This pack is very well designed and looks very nice. It seems to be made of durable material, and I'm hoping it lasts a good long time.

Great bag. Holds D50 with 18-200 lens no problem with other accessories. Not the most comfortable bag ever, but not bad for the price cheapest I found anywhere. Would love if it had something designed for filters that was easier to reach, that and maybe a water bottle holder or something like that.

I own a Nikon d40x with kit lens 18-135, which fits very well. My long zoom lens the nikon 70-300 is able to fit, but just a bit tight. There was also plently of room for filters, extra memory cards and even a flash unit. The single shoulder strap is well padded but takes a little to get accomodated to putting the bag on properly. I just finished a short vacation to north carolina where we did some short hiking and sightseeing, and the bag worked well.

The Lowepro 200AW is a good camera bag with plenty of protection, (nice feature to have the rain coat built-in) with some quirks. Mine came with the strap oriented so that I had to load and unload the bag with my left hand (I'm right handed) and the bag hangs on the left part of my body, which takes some getting used to. I wish I could change the orientation of the strap. Besides that, a good general usage bag that I can use for my SLR and camcorder.

Great backpack, but will take some practice getting adjusted to. Wish some directions had come with it - took me several tries to figure out how to connect all the straps.

I've only used this bag in the field a few times, but I found it to be very user-friendly. It's a bit larger than I expected, but as in the past, I tend to accumulate a lot of stuff. At first I thought I would go with the smaller 100 AW, but I'm just as happy I didn't. The 200 AW to date has met all my expectations and then some.

This is a great product for my needs. I wanted to carry my DSLR, two lenses (wide zoom and telephoto zoom) and a flash. It's able to carry all of these things plus two lens hoods and filters.

One downfall is that it can only be used over one shoulder which is taking some getting used to, but it is more comfortable than I imagined.
