Comments about Lacie LaCie 1TB USB 2.0 External Hard Drive:
NO problems so far. Used for music/image storage and backup of files. Mac OSX 10.5
I prefer this Lacie hard drive to the 1 TB WD MyBook that I also purchased for extra storage and backup. They were both around the same price but the Lacie is simpler to use (since the WD MyBook comes with software you can't take off the drive). The other Lacie drive I own has not had any problems, unlike some other brands. It came with 10gb of cloud storage for a year.
The blue LED is bright and sort of distracting at times. A piece of tape will fix that. The enclose is hard to keep clean since it is black and very shiny. It shows any dust and fingerprints. The price is great for the capacity.

Drive was extremely easy to set up and get operating. I have two other LaCie drives that are a few years old and have had no problems w/either of them. Used primarily as a storage device to keep my hard drive from being cluttered w/things that I know wont get used often (pix, videos and concerts) but want easy access to. So far no negative concerns.
Expected product to be delayed a few days as it stated it was a backordered item but it actually shipped later that same day. Product arrived well packed and in perfect shape.

Extremely easy set-up. It interfaced effortlessly with my IMac Time Machine back-up program.
