These all-in-one paper and ink cartridges for Canon's Selphy printers produce brilliantly clear, sharp and vivid postcard-size prints. Only Canon makes these cartridges for their printers, and their quality is consistently good. Our prints haven't faded even after a year of display. The system lays down one color at a time as the paper passes four times back and forth through the printer, with the final pass laying down a shiny, clear coat. It's slow, but perfect for occasional use, such as when you want to print up a few digital photos to show around without waiting to have them printed by a commercial print service; e.g., perfect for a "brag book" of a new baby, party snaps, etc. The cost is about 30 cents a print, much higher than conventional photo printing, but worth it, for occasions when you want excellent prints right away. We gave extra these cartridges paper/ink cartridges and Canon Selphy printers to our children (we use the Selphy system, too.)
