INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

PHP Application Developer
Abt Electronics is looking for a developer to build and support web and intranet PHP applications. Applicants should have a minimum of three years of application development experience, hands-on programming in full life-cycle projects with solid experience in PHP development, relational database systems, along with familiarity with identifying/resolving issues related to interoperability between systems. Must be able to troubleshoot, have good communication skills and an ability to work in a fast paced environment. Salary is based upon experience.
- REQUIRED SKILLS: 3+ years experience with PHP development; HTML, XML, CSS, Javascript; SQL/Database (Oracle and MySQL).

Full time positions available to provide service and repair on residential appliances such as: refrigerators, ranges, dishwashers, washers and dryers. Previous experience with similar service and repairs is preferred. Salary based on experience.

Customer service position dealing with electronics. Must be familiar with home theater products and digital cameras, computer/smart phone knowledge is a plus. Position entails trouble shooting electronic products, educating customers on electronic operation and hookups, processing returns, and arranging in shop and in home repairs of electronics. On-Air Web Talent Intern
Looking for on air web talent intern at a major independent retailer in the Chicagoland area to host online videos. No need to be proficient in appliances or electronics information, but must be willing to do product overviews, guides as well as additional supplemental videos for the store. Videos will be either scripted or outline based. Bring enthusiasm, new ideas and willingness to be creative. You will also have the ability to assist in both production and post production work. This is a paid internship.

This position is perfect for an upper level college student, recent graduate or someone looking for more on-camera experience.

Looking for copy-editor intern at a major independent retailer in the Chicagoland area. Intern will develop copy, and craft headlines, words, phrases, and body copy that complies with our company's style and tone. This will include working with our lead copywriter to co-create blogs for the website, buying guides, SEO optimization, complete TV and radio commercial scripts and more. This is a paid internship.

Photography Intern
Abt Electronics is seeking a part-time photography intern to assist with office projects related to the visual side of the website. The principal responsibility for the person in this position will be to manage and update the Abt.com photo gallery. Additional responsibilities include developing a procedure for sorting, organizing and posting photos on web; working on photos in PhotoShop ; assisting with basic web design; helping to prepare marketing materials; and providing pictures for Facebook and Twitter. The person in this position may also be called upon to assist other marketing departments. This is a paid internship or academic internship.

Requirements:
- Applicants are encouraged to possess multimedia skills and be familiar with digital photography and editing software such as PhotoShop.
- Ability to shoot, edit and upload photos.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
