Street To Be Named After Founders Of ABT Electronics
City of Chicago to dedicate block that housed Abts
original location to Jewel and David Abt

2005Abt Electronics, a family-owned electronics vendor based in
Glenview, IL, announced today that the City of Chicago will dedicate the
corner of Wolfram and Milwaukee Avenue to the companys founders,
Jewel and David Abt, in a ceremony on Wednesday, May 25th at 9:30 AM.
The block will be re-named Jewel and David Abt Way, commemorating the
location of Abt first retail facility, which opened in 1936.
Abt Electronics has maintained a strong connection to the city
of Chicago since the company was founded, said Bob Abt, Abt Electronics
CEO and son of the companys founders. Our business model has
always focused on providing quality service and competitive pricing to
our customers- many of whom are based right here in the Chicagoland area.
We are honored that the City of Chicago has decided to name the street
where Abt began after our founders, and we look forward to serving customers
in the Chicagoland area for years to come.
