TV combination units are easy to use and make great space savers. When
purchasing a TV combination unit you should be aware of what size TV will
best fit your needs. TV/DVD combo screen sizes range from 13 to 40 inches.
Most combination units are available in flat screen models. At Abt Electronics,
our TV/DVD combo brands include Toshiba, Sharp, Audiovox, and Haier.
It is also important to know what type of sound quality you are most
interested in when purchasing a combo unit. Most TV/DVD combination units
deliver stereo sound, and some even come with stereo outputs for headphones.
Below is a glossary of terms that will help you on your search for a
new TV combination unit. If you need further assistance, please do not
hesitate to call our knowledgeable Abt sales staff at 888-228-5800.
Note: Not all TV/DVD combination units can play CD-R, CD-RW, or VCD
discs.

The comb filter cleans up fuzzy images when viewed. It is the most advanced
of its kind, giving you accurate colors and stable images.

Presets to adjust picture and sound settings based on viewing preferences.
Built-In ATSC/NTSC/QAM Digital Tuning
Allows for tuning of standard cable channels, off-air digital broadcasts,
and digital "cable in the clear" broadcasts (which do not require
a cable box).
Dolby® Digital and DTS® Compatible Output
Connected to a compatible audio/video receiver, Dolby® Digital creates
a multi-channel audio experience and unsurpassed three-dimensional audio
performance rivaling the best movie theaters.
Event Programming
This feature enables you to program the DVD recorder, VCR, or DVR to record
at a specified time.
HDMI Input
This is one of the ways a television can receive an HD video signal. The
HDMI cable combines audio and video into a single cable, and gives you
the best quality with one cable.
Hi-fi (High fidelity) Stereo
A Hi-fi TV refers to high quality sound or images that are parallel to
the original master recording.
JPEG Viewer
Enables the display of digital photographs captured in the JPEG format.
Simply load the CD with your favorite photos and create a custom slide
show with a few simple clicks of the player's remote control.
Parental Control

to see. It features a code that can be used to disable the TV. These units
utilize the V-Chip.
PC Input
Allows you to connect a computer to the TV.
Response Time
This is the time it takes for the images to be displayed on the screen.
With a faster response time (smaller number= better), the screen will
have no trouble with fast moving, full motion pictures.
Sleep Timer
Do you like to fall asleep with the TV on, but do not want it on all night?
A sleep timer means you can rest easy and know that the TV will turn itself
off.
Stereo
A Stereo TV provides two audio channels for greater depth of sound.
V-Chip Parental Guidance System
V-chip technology allows parents to use television ratings codes to block
programs that they feel are inappropriate for their children to view.
The V-chip can be turned on and off through the on-screen menu using a
four-digit, user-programmed code.
WMA & MP3 Playback
With this feature, recordable Compact Discs (CD-R & CD-RW) with music
stored in either the Windows Media Audio or MP3 file formats can
be enjoyed.
