Educational Classes & Events

Here at Abt, we believe that customers are happier with their purchases when they know how to use them. Back in 1988, we began hosting classes for customers to explain basic usage and show tips and tricks to owning their products. All classes are free and take place in our Glenview retail store.

The Easter Bunny Is Coming To Abt - Abt Atrium

Weber Grill Live Cooking Demo - Outside of Abt's Main Entrance
Join us and a Weber Executive Chef while he cooks on Weber grills, answers any questions about Weber products, and give out cooking tips.
Dates: May 16, May 23, June, 6, June 13, June 27 and July 11.
Time:11am – 4pm.

Turbo Chef Live Cooking Demo - Abt Atrium
3rd Thursday Of Every Month: 1pm – 6pm.
This is an excellent opportunity to be trained on TurboChef’s amazing technology, which can cook food up to 15 times faster than a conventional oven. Customers can see TurboChef’s amazing technology first hand. All are welcome! Training will be conducted by Dale Wadler our TurboChef Representative.
Date: January 21st, February 18th, March 18th, April 15th, May 20th, June 17th, July 15th, August 19th, September 16th, October 21st, November 18th and December 16th.

Every Saturday: 9am – 11am
Learn proper technique in recording, playback and downloading to a PC. All formats covered including Mini- DV, DVD, HD, Hard Disc, Memory Card and more.

How To Use Your Digital Camera
Every Thursday: 7pm – 9:15pm
Come down to a class at Abt and learn all about digital cameras. Make sure to bring your camera, accessories and the manual.

Advanced Digital Camera Class
Last Tuesday of the month: 7pm – 9:15pm

How To Use Your DVD Recorder
1st & 3rd Wednesday: 7pm – 9:15pm
Learn all about your DVD recorder. Make sure to bring your manual.

Time Watch Boutique Watch Fair 2009
On October 24th from 10am – 5pm and October 25th from 11am – 4pm, be a part of Abt's first watch fair. Featured will be brands like Ball, Chronoswiss, Gucci, Hamilton, Rado, Longies, Franck Muller, Oris, Michael Kors, Michele, Swiss Army and Tissot. Representatives from each company will be on hand to showcase their latest watches and limited edition timepieces.

Kids Day At Abt - September
Have fun at the Abt Atrium where monthly themes are incorporated with arts and crafts, activities and Abt's famous freshly baked chocolate chip cookies on September 27th from 12pm – 4pm.

Pink Heals Tour
On September 23, 2009 LifeSource, The Glenview Fire Department, and Abt welcome the Pink Heals Tour from 6pm – 10pm! They are hosting the event to raise awareness for women with cancer and also the need for blood donations to support all patients with cancer.
