TWICE, 7/11/2005
Chicago — The City of Chicago dedicated the corner of Wolfram and Milwaukee to the founders of Glenview, Ill.-based Abt Electronics, Jewel and David Abt, in May. The corner was renamed Jewel and David Abt Way, commemorating the location of Abt's first retail facility, which opened in 1936.
This month, Abt's For Autistic Kids Foundation will hold its 4th Annual Golf Benefit in Golf, Ill. The foundation was started to raise funds to increase public awareness and understanding of autism, and for research for the early detection, prevention, treatment and cure of autism.
