Slide-In Ranges
Slide-In ranges are designed to provide a seamless integration with kitchen countertops and cabinets. Unlike a free-standing range, a slide-in range, as its name suggests, slides into a space in the kitchen cabinets, with part of the cooktop surface overlapping the countertops. This tight fit provides a custom look some users prefer and also eliminates the potential for crumbs and liquids to spill down the gap between the range and the cabinets. The only downside of this design is that, because of the protruding surface and unfinished sides, a slide-in oven range can't be placed in a spot without a structure on both sides, such as at the end of a row of cabinets.
