E-COMMERCE

Copywriter
Candidate will be involved in both the creative and technical aspects of writing Search Engine-Optimized copy for Abt's e-commerce website. Tasks will include keyword research, writing product descriptions, tracking results and adjusting copy as needed. Opportunities will also be available for other creative writing, such as blog posts, video scripts and specialized copy for seasonal promotions. Preferred candidates will have experience with creative writing or marketing, but all interested parties are encouraged to apply. A personal interest in the consumer electronics industry is a plus.

Required Experience/Skills: 

  • Research, analyze, organize information to create sales/marketing copy 
  • Develop SEO friendly content through web pages, blogs, articles, email, social media content, ad copy etc.
  • Ability to post blogs via Wordpress, Tumblr, Blogger, etc; including media, tags and categories for each post

Website Marketing Manager
The primary responsibility of the Marketing Manager is to propel the Website Marketing, Email and Social Media, initiatives to a “best in class” status.  This includes promotional marketing, retention marketing and customer acquisition aspects within the Abt Electronics marketing activities.  An integral component required to succeed in this position will be the incumbent’s ability to obtain alignment from all key stakeholders while being a staunch advocate for providing our customers a world class shopping experience.

Website Marketing
  • Develop promotional real estate throughout the site and constantly drive optimization to improve conversion, category penetration and average order value
  • Responsible for managing all voucher activity within the budgeted promotional forecast
  • Develop marketing briefs for online activities through interviewing internal partners and identifying competitive opportunities
  • Document the performance of page flows and order funnel activity
  • Manage multiple 3rd party relationships to drive traffic and optimize website conversion including banner ad and retargeting marketing
  • Manage all marketing activities for Design Center / Jolanes’ including website maintenance, media plans / budgets and social media

eMail Marketing

Junior Web Designer
The ideal candidate, will assist in the design, layout and coding of the existing website and email marketing campaigns. We are looking for someone whose forte is in design, but can also maintain and update our existing site through html development, and who possesses the ability to improve their technical and graphical skills.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing and maintaining E-commerce websites, intranet sites and email marketing campaigns.
  • Create graphics and html that adhere to Abt’s style and brand identity.
  • Translate visual prototypes into launch-ready html.
  • Test and troubleshoot pages on multiple browsers and platforms.

Minimum Requirements:

POST PRODUCTION / PRODUCTION ASSISTANT

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and creative jack-of-all trades with a specialty in motion graphics and post production to assist on our television commercials and marketing video. This person will be able to work on tight deadlines while juggling multiple projects. Expert knowledge of After Effects/Motion Graphics and a working knowledge of Cinema 4D is a plus. Ability to assist in video production in capacities of lighting setup and audio recording will be required.

CORE FUNCTIONS:

  • Use After Effect/ Motion/ or Cinema 4D to create, design, and edit product commercials on tight deadlines.
  • Assist with editing commercials, product demonstration, overviews and reviews.
  • Assist with lighting, audio recording, or camera operation for all production intended for online distribution or television.

ACCOUNTING

AR/Credit/Collections Manager

The Credit/Collections Supervisor will review and assign credit limits to AR portfolio, manage AR portfolio collectability within company tolerances as well as effectively manage the department resources and allocation of  work.
Another primary duty will be the development of staff as well as developing process improvements, controls and policy in the credit/collections sector.

Summary of essential job functions

  • Assists in setting policy in the credit arena
  • Determine credit limits for new customer accounts and manage existing credit lines up to $50,000.
  • Maintain AR past dues, write-offs, customer refunds/deposits and charge-backs within defined targets
  • Performs and assists in account reconciliation involving customer disputes. 
  • Provides management with relevant reporting monthly on Receivables, charge-backs, customer deposits, refunds, transactional load (orders reviewing on the internet, number of customer invoices, returns, refunds).
  • Analyzes key business data to determine system and transaction vulnerabilities to fraud and makes recommendations on how to mitigate to management (both retail and internet).
  • Keeps abreast of dynamic changing retail and on-line environment both internally and externally impacting our business and bring forward recommendations to keep our organization current (fraud risk council, retailers association). 
  • Key functional business expert of Accounts Receivable section of the system.
  • Provides recommendations and support for system and process improvement. Key emphasis on automation.
  • Manages staff member’s productivity, system training and professional development.

Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • Minimum 5 years of commercial credit analysis and collection experience
  • Strong understanding of the principles of financial risk management in a card not present environment, including knowledge of the techniques used to mitigate and manage fraud, methods for determining acceptable performance levels, and understanding of the different types of credit card fraud
  • Prior  supervisory experience
  • Exceptional and persuasive oral and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of credit card processing rules and regulations
  • Proficient in systems including Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and time management skills
