Looking for a developer to build and support web and intranet PHP applications. Applicants should have a minimum of three years of application development experience, hands-on programming in full life-cycle projects with solid experience in PHP, relational database systems, along with familiarity with identifying/resolving issues related to interoperability between systems. Must be able to troubleshoot, have good communication skills and an ability to work in a fast paced environment. Salary is based upon experience.

Abt Electronics is looking for an intern to assist in Web Merchandising

The intern will perform assigned duties under the direction of experienced personnel. The successful candidate will work in a learning environment and gain knowledge and experience that will augment their college education. The position is paid, hourly, full- time, 40 hours per week.

Minimum qualifications:

• Junior or Senior standing with a GPA of 3.0 or higher

Copywriter - Intern
Copywriting intern will be involved in both the creative and technical aspects of writing Search Engine-Optimized copy for Abt's e-commerce website. Tasks will include keyword research, writing product descriptions, tracking results and adjusting copy as needed. Opportunities will also be available for other creative writing, such as blog posts, video scripts and specialized copy for seasonal promotions. Preferred candidates will have experience with creative writing or marketing, but all interested parties are encouraged to apply. A personal interest in the consumer electronics industry is a plus.

Abt has been pleasing people since 1936 and is looking to expand our team. We are currently hiring for a Manager to oversee the growth of our new Home Security division.

Applicants must possess strong organizational skills, be computer proficient, and have at least 5 years experience in Home Security management. Showing progressive growth within the Home Security field is a plus. The successful candidate will possess an Active Private Alarm Contractor's license issued by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR).

Ideal candidates will be able to direct training programs for sales associates and oversee installation and on-going service while providing a level of customer service that is consistent within our organization. Other duties include but are not limited to: registration and record keeping compliance with IDFPR rules and regulations governing the operation, job estimating and report monitoring.
