First, slate color is heads above anything else.....The internal features are amazing but I actually had to put my ear to the door when I fired this up the first time. It's so quiet couldn't even tell it was running till got down next to it. Wi-fi features is pretty cool, if you are into that kinda thing. But light years ahead of the dishwasher I replaced.

If you are looking for a high-end, high quality dishwasher for your custom kitchen, do NOT purchase this dw. I just purchased this dishwasher and the built-in top controls are made of cheap black plasticand are missing some indicators as advertised; not the high quality steel/metal depicted in the advertising. The pull out drawers are also low quality plastic unlike the more solid drawers you'll find on higher end dishwashers. For the most part the washer is quiet when running; however it periodically makes an unusual loud click as if an electrical switch is operating the next wash cycle. When I first heard it I thought something was wrong with it. The water hoses provided are flimsy/cheap. I recommend you purchase your own water lines. The feet have to be manually turned on the bottom to level the dw whereas most other brands provide an easy and accessible means to level the dw. The LCD and wash cycle operation is not intuitive as there is no off switch. You have to press the Start switch and hold 3 seconds to turn off a cycle. You can open the door to interrupt the cycle like all fully integrated dw's but if you want it to end you have hold start. I'm still working on getting the wifi capability activated with the GE mobile app; it never fully connects. There is a separate 800 number to call for wifi issues. I'm extremely disappointed with this purchase, the misleading advertising on multiple web sites, and given the lack of quality I anticipate that will have to replace sooner than later.

Comments about GE Profile Series 24" Slate Built-In Dishwasher:
This appliance does a terrific job. Having a sprayer directly underneath the silverware basket is a great feature. The silverware has come out clean every time, even when completely full. I would give it 5 stars instead of 4 but I often have to dry the dishes, even with the power dry feature on. All in all, it does a great job.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Quiet, Simple To Operate, Works
from Charlotte, NC, United States
This dishwasher is so quiet, I had to put my ear against it to see if it was on. It is easy to operate and flat out works. I do recommend using a rinse liquid. There is no heating element and the rinse liquid works as a drying agent so items being washed come out dry.

While we like the dishwasher, and the various features like the top 3rd shelf for flat items, the door is hard to secure closed. Also, we had to set it with the boost feature so it takes 3 hours to cycle so that the dishes are dry. It cleans very well. Generally happy.
Can you be in love with a dishwasher?
YES! I hate doing dishes. This washer is so quiet you can't tell it is on. The bottle jets clean my hurricane glasses and sports bottles. It was expensive but worth every penny.
Fits a lot but so so cleaning

It holds a lot but my old GE profile cleaned better and dried the dishes much better. The cycles are also much longer on this machine. I could accept that if the dishes and silverware came out perfectly every time but they don't. Even with the heated dry cycle, the inside is still wet. With my old GE it was always bone dry.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
racking system is a problem
from Richmond, VA, United States
Dishwasher looks good. I like the third top rack for thin flat items. The bottom and middle racks are set up peculiarly making it difficult to keep items from touching each other even when following the instructions on loading. My porcelain plates and bowls are acquiring chips often. I have to run it half full so items are really a long distance from one another. It also does not dry well on the standard cycle. The cycles are very long - hours.

Super Quiet!! Lots of room for odd shaped dinner ware, with adjustable shelves and wires. Finally a better beverage bottle washer!
