I originally had plan to use Gear Fit2 as fitness tracker only because I have a classic watch. As I used Gear Fit2 when I work out, especially running outside, I feel more comfortable when I wear it. I think more comfortable than the classic watch. Regarding performance as a tracker, it records my activity accurately such as number of steps, speed of activity, or etc. Also, the battery is one of most satisfactory points. Gear Fit2 operates a little bit more than 2 days when it is fully charged (100%). And it takes less than two hours to fully charged. So far, I don't see any inconvenience due to the battery. Currently, I use Gear Fit2 everyday, replacing the classic watch. Every one or two days, I check my activities and try to exercise more by observing the records. I think Gear Fit2 is really good for people who seek for tracking devices as well as who are finding a watch.

I purchased this to replace another fitness wearable which was under performing to my expectations. I am pleased so far with this device's accuracy. However, I am unable to get call, text or email notifications and other desirable "smart" features to work because it appears that the Gear Fit 2 app required to make that happen is not fully capable of completing those settings with my new non-Samsung phone. I select the menu item (ex. "Notifications") , it opens and then immediately reverts back to the app's main screen. This is AFTER installing a bunch of other required apps that were required during the set-up process with my new non-Samsung device. That is unfortunate and surprising since I have an early Samsung Smart TV and it works with the new non-Samsung phone . I can't fathom why they wouldn't encourage people to "sample the goods" by making this entry price point product a little more friendly to those who choose variety in their lives by mixing it up a bit. Unlike the product that this is replacing, which allowed more than one device to sync with it, it seems that the Gear Fit2 can only sync with one device at a time, requiring a "reset" if I want to use another device to access S-Health or Gear Fit 2 app information from it. My original non-Samsung tracker COULD communicate fully with my older Samsung smartphone, as well as my current new android phone, by the way. Lack of notifications makes this only a great entry level fitness tracker - not a smart watch. S-Health is great, as it does work on my newer android phone, even though it's not Samsung. Well done there, at least. In summary, I like the product and it's fitness features. I don't like that Samsung is overly proprietary to the point of excluding new non-Samsung phones from access to advertised features that make a "smart" device "smart" while claiming it's a "smart" fitness tracker. I will think twice and read more reviews in the future before making such a costly purchase of Samsung products with such high expectations on promises of performance .

Comments about Samsung Gear Fit2 Large Pink Fitness Band:
This thing is way more than advertised Dose everything a smart watch and more One thing you might want to watch Pick a simple watch face for every day And have one with bells and whistles When you need it Watch faces with everything displayed Have a tendency to suck out some battery life Because it's always updating the info That's a lot of extra Bluetooth activity Hence the battery drain Took me a bit to figure out why Other than that it's superb and comfortable!! And lets me check text and emails

Absolutely Awesome Device

I have really enjoyed my Gearfit 2. It has everything I need for my daily workouts and/or runs. I do not wear my glasses when I run so the big bright readable screen is a huge plus for me. I also like when I wear it that I forget it is there very comfortable and very easy to use. The only thing I wish it had was a settings under running where you could chose 5K, 10K, half marathon or full marathon on distance settings instead of just whole or half miles. Beyond that I truly love this device it is exactly what I needed for my marathon training and work outs.

Ever since I received this watch, I haven't taken it off. Love It. One thing happened on Monday, It didn't register any of my activities! Maybe it was a full moon or something. LOL All good now!
Notification buzz too soft
I returned it because the main reason I needed it was for notifications at work. The buzz alerts are too soft on both settings. If I was doing anything other than sitting still testing it, I never felt it. I work 2 jobs and have a daughter in volleyball so I have to be in different places at all different times. I rely on my calendar reminders.

Love this watch! I have tried several other watches and was disappointed with all. This watch accurately accounts the steps and heart rate. The skin on my wrist broke out from other silicone bands. I am able to wear this band loose enough to combat that and still get the information. Highly recommend this product

Limited item, has fallen off my arm 3 or 4 times. Almost lost is. Short battery life, 2 day.
Only 1 1/2 problems.

Looks nice and works well. The only major thing is the step counting. Being on the wrist it interprets a lot of movement as daily steps. My S7 Edge is right on as far as steps and walking distance, I've checked it out. This has me traveling a lot further and burning more calories because of it. I have the S7 set to only count its steps. The strange option there is that I can have it add the steps from each one together and think I went a really long way. The battery, although I never use GPS on it, sometimes runs dead in 2 days, other times it lasts 3 or 4.

I've always been an apple kinda guy but saying that I won't spend $500 dollars on a apple watch. I'm 34 years old and am passed the "look at me, look at me" stage in life. Now spending $200 dollars on a watch with a purpose, health now I can justify that. Very comfortable and very user friendly. LOVE IT!! CHEERS TO SAMSUNG!
Decent tech for the money

Screen is awesome. To many problems to be sure great fitness tracker though. Had to turn off the auto workout because it would activate cycling while I was driving down the interstate. Somehow I climb 10 floors of stairs before 7 every morning. I live in a single story house and don't have any elevation changes around the yard or house. Not sure how accurate steps are because they don't count when pushing a stroller or shopping cart. But the text and call notificationso are nice. Battery life is not that great. Must be charged every day.
