Connects reliably. A little too much delay for games, but fine for movies etc. There were two issues. My TV lacks USB, so I used a phone charger rated at 2 amps which worked perfectly. But I needed that charger for my phone, so I substituted a 500 mA charger, and surprise...the connection failed every time. Since 500 mA is the standard maximum current for USB 1 and 2, many TVs with USB 1 or 2 connectors might not be able to power this adapter. The second issue is over-scan. The outer 5 percent or so of the picture shows up on the computer screen, but is outside the viewing area on the TV.

I purchased this about a month ago. I have had problems staying connected and freezes videos and movies on the tv screen. I cannot get to the firmware update or app on the windows store. gives me a download box, when I click on it nothing happens. While it works it is great, but not so when it freezes.

Disconnects from a Surface Pro 3 Constantly
Comments about Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter V2:
This never worked properly, a shame because the Microsoft Surface Pro 3 is a great machine, however this display device has never worked properly.

On again Off again
had had this for about a year now. Quit trying to use it after the first couple of months. Would make it part way thru a show and it would drop the stream, sometimes having to wait 5 10 minutes before picking it back up. Waited all this time to try again hoping that updates would make it more reliable. No luck same problem. Piece is a good lesson in frustrations!
It Just Works

Plugged this into an older model Samsung LCD, and easily connected with my Surface Pro 4 in literally a minute or two. Super simple, works great. Highly recommend.
Working great so far...
Use this with two Win 10 laptops, three Samsung galaxy 4 & 5 phones and two RCA tablets, all running Lollipop. Adapter works great with all. I ran the firmware update from the Windows Store before using...
Not worth it
I read a lot of reviews on this item and seen a lot of YouTube videos the majority was good. But when watchingoing movies, it's a very noticeable delay. To the point it's hand to watch the movie. This is the sole reason I bought the item, so it didn't meet my expectations. I don't recommend if you want to use it for watching movies
A nice thing
It's very good except sometimes it pause a little bit

Great for sharing screen of your laptop or cellpho
Great product for sharing screen of your laptop or smartphone, works fine with projectors, LCD TV's and works really fine with a Lumia 950 XL and Continuum in my business trips, to show presentations and view movies in the TV of the hotel room, or for sharing the pictures to your family of your vacations without complications in the TV.
Excellent projection solution

I've used this display adapter with projectors and large screen tvs. It is a very convenient way to project PROS - Absolutely no lag time. - HDMI connection transmits both audio and video through the wireless adapter. - Very long range. I tested it down at the end of a long corridor; more than 10 meters away. No problem transmitting. - Eliminates the need to connect to projectors with wires and since many laptops now only have mini display adapters while older projectors have legacy connections, that really helps. - Works well consistently. CONS - Sometimes, there is some difficulty in establishing the connection, though I've never been unable to make a connection. - Needs to be powered via USB and many old projectors do not have USB connections. One could probably use a USB power pack, though.
