I just received my IconX today. After reading the reviews, I knew enough to CHARGE them before putting them in My ears. Charging didn't take long at ALL. Once I plugged them into my head :) they paired right up. The CONS that I have read about, and what I have seen myself in using these earbuds: -problem pairing: Personally, I have had no trouble at ALL with this. Not only did they pair with My Samsung Galaxy Note5, they also paired with my ipod touch. (only note, you need to place the earbuds back in the charging case for a second, put them back in your ears and they will pair right up with the device. Once paired, end of issue) -sound quality (lack of bass): On this I have to agree (sorta). When listening to music streamed via My Galaxy Note 5, the sound was weak, not much volume and VERY little bass. HOWEVER! When used with My ipod touch (which I normally use for music anyway, not phone), the sound is AWESOME! NICE bass, plenty of deafening volume. These little earbuds sound great. -confusing touch controls: O.o seriously? This could not be easier. Anybody that has used a Beats Headset, already knows these controls. In short, LOVE these earbuds!

I absolutely love the concept of being fully wireless with the Samsung Gear Icon X. I feel like I am starting to become a cyborg with these in, listening to music, hearing the sound around me and reading vital signs. However, it is short lived as battery life is less than 2 hours if streaming music. They fit snug and I haven’t worried about them falling out yet. However, you have to really get them into your ear to get the best sound of them and it can be a little uncomfortable. Otherwise there isn’t much bass and sound is high pitched sounding. It may take some variations of the different sized rubber pieces to get the perfect fit. Touch controls are simple and voice prompts are soft with 15 different language options. However, they can be touchy, like starting and ending exercise events when you are simply trying to make an adjustment. I have found myself ending calls when all I was trying to do is adjust the ear bud or increase volume. The charging case is a great place to keep each individual ear bud safe and clean. However, the case is not very rugged and can be easily bumped open in a pocket, preventing charge or causing damage. They charge to full in 30-45 minutes. However, as mentioned above they are not meant to be headphone replacements for extended time as they died in 1 hour 45 minutes just streaming music. However, if you store music on the 4GB internal storage, they can last up to 3 hours. I have extended the play time with them by using one ear bud at a time, though you have to switch the primary over to R or L before the battery dies, which timed out on me several times. An interesting thing though, as a straight MP3 player you can use either ear bud, so long as you stored music on them, simply by putting one in and tapping play. However, if you did not set them to shuffle with the Gear App, your playlist will start over, sorted by filename. Sound quality is good enough to listen to music, but on the low end, especially when in a call. This is due to the Bluetooth codec used and not the more current Apt-X. They can get loud enough to drown out noise around you, but if you can’t get the perfect fit you won’t hear any bass. Also, if you are only using one, it can be really hard to hear a phone call. I found myself cupping my ear with one in, to hear better, only to end the call by accident. Overall, I like the Samsung Gear Icon X but don’t think they are at their full potential yet. They are not headphone replacements, but decent short term, multi-function, fully wireless ear buds. Maybe the next generation will be better with battery life and clarity.

What can I say that hasn't been said , I tend to use this headphones for the gym which I'm in there for about two hours and have never been close to running out of battery . they are very comfortable and very light weight and sound is amazing . as we all know how bad we hate working out and the cord would get in the way , these headphones eliminates all those problems

Comments about Samsung Gear IconX Blue Wireless Earbuds:

I have never found earbuds that fit in my ears so well. They fit perfectly. I was shocked at that in the first place. I also love the hard carrying case. Protects the earbuds AND charges them at the same time. The only thing I don't like is you cant use Itunes music files. A lot of people have all of their music from itunes and they dont accept that file type. Other than that they are easy to use and fun.

Comments about Samsung Gear IconX Blue Wireless Earbuds:

I love the idea of these, I just don't think they are ready for prime time. And that's not Samsung's fault. The batteries in these just don't last long enough, much like the batteries in everything we use. So, I'm going to start with the pro's:' 1. Great fit, they don't move and not uncomfortable at all. This was a pleasant surprise and I've used them running with no issues. 2. Once paired, they automatically pair when you put them in your ear. Really nice touch, no on or off buttons to try to find. 3. Touch gestures work! I wasn't sure this would work very well, but volume up and down worked great, pausing songs and starting them back up was easy. 4. Charging case is nice and small enough to carry in your pocket. Con's: 1. Battery life 2. Battery life 3. Battery life Battery is rated for about 3.5 to 4 hours and it could last that long with music saved to the device itself (about 4GB internal memory). But if you are streaming it doesn't get there. Seems to be closer to 1.5 hours. Makes sense, bluetooth uses power so it is going to have some drain. Again, this isn't limited to Samsung. Batteries just need to evolve for a product like this to really work for me. Bottom line: If your workouts or use of a product like this amount to around an hour, this is a good product. If your workouts are longer then this won't really do the job and I would suggest sticking with a wired product.

Comments about Samsung Gear IconX Blue Wireless Earbuds:

I have used the Gear IconX now for several weeks and can honestly say it is a really good device. I want to break down this review to 5 sections: Connectivity: The Gear IconX pairs very easy and only had a few drop outs. I even paired it to the Fit2 and it worked great (really nice for those long jogs). The range on the Gear IconX is about the same as any Bluetooth headset (~30 feet). Fit & Sound: This device fits very snug and I have done just about every exercise with them in (weights, jump rope, running, etc.) and not once did they fall out or did I feel they were unstable or feel like they were about to fall out. They are very comfortable and I never experienced ear fatigue. The sound is rich with plenty of base and clear treble highs. I took a few phone calls on them, I could hear the other call perfect and the other person on the other end said I sounded clear. Battery Life: The battery life is acceptable as I got about 1.5 hours of battery if I streamed music from my phone and almost 3 hours with music playing directly from the ear buds. The case charges the ear buds which is nice and small. Once you are finished with your workout, just put the ear buds back in the case and put them in your gym bag. This reduces the chance to lose the ear buds. My gripe on the case is that you almost have to always have them plugged in. If you leave the ear buds in the case and not plugged in, the case and ear buds will die in about 2 days. Why did Samsung do that? Wouldn’t it make more sense for the case to trickle charge the ear buds so you don’t have to leave them plugged in all of the time? Ease of Use: To use the ear buds, just put them in your ears and they connect to your phone. Open up your music app and hit play. It is just that easy. When you remove the ear buds, the music pauses and when you put them back in, the music resumes. There are two ways to listen to music, stream though your favorite app or download music directly to the Gear IconX. To download music to the ear buds, it is easy just not convenient. You have to plug the charger in, with the ear buds in, to a computer or your phone to download your music. For the S7 edge, you can just attach the case to your phone and transfer music. The touch pads are really sensitive to the touch and often when increasing the volume it would pause the music. The touch pads don’t have any click or haptic feedback, just a beep when touched. This definitely could be improved. The heart rate monitor worked pretty well on the S7 edge. While using the S Health app and running on the S7 edge, the heart rate monitor was fairly accurate. I sometimes would get these random beeps signaling the HR wasn't registering and after a few steps it would stop. I figured this out only by looking at the S Health app and it told me the HR disconnected. This was due to the sensors being dirty. A simple wipe of the sensors before inserting them generally fixed the problem. Firmware update: The notification for a firmware update will be in the Gear IconX app on your phone but the ONLY way to update them is to plug the case (with the ear buds in the case) into a computer, open the Gear IconX program on the computer and then update. There probably won’t be a lot of these updates but this is not convenient. Again Samsung, why is this different than how you update firmware on the Gear S2 or Gear Fit2? Summary: Overall, I really like the Gear IconX, I would recommend them and would give them 4 stars. The fit and sound is incredible. You won’t find a better, more comfortable ear bud for working out on the market. I have tried all of them and this is the best. The only recommendations I would make to Samsung is to make the touch pad less sensitive, improve the charging mechanism on the charging case and allow for Bluetooth transfer of music (similar to the Gear S2 and Fit2).

This product is easy to use. After charging it, I paired it with my Android phone, and it told me "Connected" right in my ear! I thought that was so cool! I love the way it talks to you. I can easily raise or lower the volume of my music while driving without having to go to my phone. I absolutely love the workout detection. It is probably my favorite feature of this device. No more missed workouts! I am part of a running group, and I go to the gym often, so these are just perfect for that. At first I thought they were going to fall out of my ear, so of course I tested them by jumping around and running around my living room before actually going for my run. Needless to say, they passed the test! I already recommended this to my friends. The only thing I would add, is an extended battery. These don't seem made to replace your headphones entirely seeing that the battery runs out after a few hours, but they work wonderful for workouts and your drive to work. I love how it beeps when you press it, so that way you know that you skipped the song, and you know how many taps it registered. This is awesome technology, and I'm so glad these were made. It's like they though of me when they made this product!

The concept behind the IconX is excellent, but the delivery of the final product is poor. My main issues are 1. Very Low Battery Life 2. Very Sensitive Controls 3. Poor Sound Quality. Having 4GB of storage to add integrated music to the earbuds for independent play without needing Bluetooth connection to the phone is awesome however, the poor sound quality and poor battery life negate this awesome concept. I used it both with and without Bluetooth and I was barely able to get a hour out of the battery life which is really poor in my opinion. I have other Bluetooth headphone devices that give me well over three hours of life on a single charge. One hour is not acceptable and that really ruins the uniqueness of the IconX. The other issues just add to the disappointment; that being poor sound quality and the fingertip control is way to sensitive. Unfortunately at the higher than average cost, I would not recommend these. The independent use feature just doesn't offset these glaring design flaws.

I was skeptical, but I am a devoted Samsung consumer, so I kept an open mind. They take some getting used to, mostly as far as swiping to the left and right to forward a song, and swiping up and down for the volume. Whenever I try to forward a song by swiping, I am adjusting the volume instead. But if you tap the earbud twice, it also advances the songs, so it is not a huge deal. I love that I do not have to take my phone with me on a walk or run if I don't want to!! I actually loaded songs right onto the earbuds, and it was really easy! If you do take your phone with you, though, you can connect to many if not all of the music apps, such as Pandora, and Milk music. The battery life is not wonderful, and I think that is my only complaint. It is good for about an 1 and a half.

Comments about Samsung Gear IconX Blue Wireless Earbuds:

I received last week and used it about 3 times so far. I enjoy the sound quality of the tiny device. I paired the device with my Galaxy S7 and I was able to track my workout progress with S Health. I gave it a 4/5 stars because I have 2 issues with it. 1. I kept fearing that it one of the earbuds would come out of my ears. Anytime moved i felt it would come out. 2. I found it difficult to change songs on the earbuds.
