The ROKU "could be" PERFECT - if the would simply integrate SYSTEM WIDE volume control. Cord Cutters want a SIMPLE UNIFIED REMOTE (not be confused with the HORRID 60 button remotes tossed at you from SAT/CABLE companies). This is the 3rd ROKU we have owned. We have upgraded when the product line gets a full re-vamp. My top choices for my purchase were for a FAST PROCESSOR, better AUDIO and BETTER VIDEO. I feel "voice control" gadgets are still in the "almost works sometimes" phase of development. I don't use them, in that regard, worthless to me as a selling point. I am dismayed at the lack of a USB on my new ROKU, but I can network the stuff I need - so it's a bit more tedious, but not a deal breaker. I like the new remote, A more perfect remote would have programmable buttons. I am sure the Apps you see on these four buttons were sold to the highest bidders. So, charge your customer a few bucks more and gimme four programmable buttons...and please, don't edge toward the Apple model of business. The ROKU is wonderful because it can exist very well with ALL TV makes, models, and generations. Don't waste your money on a smart TV folks. By the best quality screen you can afford and buy a ROKU. It blows away every TV maker's "smart TV" hands down.

I bought this as my second Roku. The first one I bought was the Roku Express+, and I absolutely loved it. Never had any playback issues, due to the Roku. So, I decided to splurge and get the Premiere+ for my 4k TV in the living room. Boy, was that a mistake. I constantly have to unhook the Roku and my TV and plug them both back in, because of issues with the player not recognizing my HDMI cable as being authorized for HDCP content. I get a purple screen with the audio of whatever I happen to be watching. It is a brand new HDMI cable that is rated for 4k and HDR performance. I have switched the cable to other devices, and they work fine. The only one that doesn't is my Roku Premiere+. I am highly disappointed.

Not happy. We have to subscribe to almost every app and pay monthly fees. Would rather pay cable than to be paying several monthly fees on different apps.

I bought this about a month ago and have many issues. Mainly with the Hulu app, but sometimes with the Netflix app too. After watching a show on Hulu, when I hit the back button the screen sorta freezes...usually. The thumbnail holders are on the screenm but the images don't show. So I have to hit the home button and go back into Hulu to try again...and many times I have to do that a few times before Hulu actually starts working again. I mean that happens almost evertime I watch an episode of some show on Hulu. Netflix works most of the time, but sometimes when I'm watching something, it will just jump back to the Netflix home page...just out of the blue. I've even had the Roku box just restart by itself when watching Netflix a couple of times. My previous Roku box worked way better. I bought the new one for the point-anywhere remote, and for the fast download of shows, but I'm not exactly happy with it since I'm constantly needing to go to the Hulu home page to resest stuff.

I purchased a roku for myself and 1 for my mother for Christmas. I've been using mine for a couple weeks and love it. I hooked my mother's up yesterday and she loves it too. It is easy to navigate and she was able to add and activate channels herself. This is a great alternative to purchasing a smart TV! Very pleased with my purchase.

During initial setup remote paired with device. A software update was suggested, after which remote & device unpaired. All online troubleshooting advice attempts failed. Remote software did not update with device. Remote will not clear & reset. Now I have a remote & a device constantly searching to pair but unable to find each other. Customer Support nonexistent. Worthless, unable to setup device, new remote unavailable.

Image quality is good. No buffering for on 30 mbps line. Only gripe is it resets to the main menu randomly and won't always wake up when using other devices for a long time.

No usb card reader but there is an sd card reader located behind hdmi cable port. Even with the problems better than what comes pre packaged with phillips tv. Ease to use better than any competitor. Now the problems. Still no hdmi cables included... 4k support problems playing youtube videos that are of less resolution. have to exit youtube and change the resolution to 1080p pain in the junk. Need this box for 4k tvs.
