I don't know why so many people don't like this
Bought this laptop to replace an aging one and I've loved it since I first got it. Granted, its not a super expensive gaming laptop, but I didn't expect it to be. Like most computers- when you first get it, you need to make sure you update windows and the drivers; fortunately, dell includes a program that makes the drivers easy. Once fully updated, most of the bugs went away. I use this to make music with a midi keyboard, edit 1080p videos, and less processor intensive things like watch movies through amazon and netflix with no problems and browse the net- even in battery saver mode, this laptop has enough power for gopro studio. This laptop has a pretty good battery life, but once again- you need to customize it to your preferences when you get it to get the most out of it. I do forget to put battery saver on all the time, and life is still great. Had this thing for about 3 months and I love it.

Awesome but not for games
I got this at Christmas and it was amazing. The display is great and the tablet mode is awesome but I tried playing csgo and it was at 20 frames on low settings

TERRIBLE PRODUCT, WORST CUSTOMER SUPPORT TILL DATE
I bought this laptop Order date: 20th November,2016 and just after 6 weeks of moderate to very less use, the touch screen stopped working. The laptop heats up and makes noise. You cannot use it as a tab in these scenarios. AWFUL PRODUCT!!! Now coming to Customer Support - I called Customer Support on January 9th,2017 to have the product repaired. I was told to ship the product to their facility, which I did. The tracking on fedx showed the laptop was delivered on 13th to the facility. I did not get any update from the customer support of Dell. Then when I called they informed that they could not locate the laptop. After regular calls and follow ups they informed that they could finally locate it but they did not have the parts to repair. I asked them to send the laptop back as I would be travelling, to this date I have not received it. I received an email for an entirely different laptop and address. I have no idea when and in what condition I will receive my laptop, if I do. HORRIBLE, HORRENDOUS TECHNICAL TEAM. My words fall short in describing my experience.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Bought this for my son. Touch screen stopped working on the first day (Christmas day). Exchanged that hunk for another new machine. That one updated for days and days and then after a couple of weeks would longer turn on at all. Returned for a refund and bought a Lenovo Flex 3, much better machine.

Fast, powerful poor battery
This is a great general purpose business computer. I purchased the 256 GB SSD and a USB docking station. I am using it with two monitors and hardwired Ethernet and it works great. The battery life is like the other reviewers said.--minimal. About 3 hours. This won't get you through a day of travel.
