I have used this deep fryer several times & have been pleased with how well the food fries evenly. The rotating basket really does a nice, consistent job of frying. I have enjoyed french fries, chicken wings, poppers, o-rings, fish fillets & shrimp, with no cooking complaints. The unit does exactly what it claims. I already have a much larger deep fryer, so the DeLonghi D895UX is a nice addition to my kitchen accessories, especially when I'm only preparing small batches of food. The oil drain/filter system is a nice feature & overall, this fryer is just plain "fun to use!".

This is a very well thought-out design with very good safety and cleaning features. We fry only occasionally, so its ease of draining oil, complete with its holding a filtered storage receptacle in position is really helpful. The viewing window is, however, useless. It fogs immediately and offers no view of the interior. Perhaps an interior windshield wiper is needed...
