They are more sturdy and less bulky than the last set my husband owned. They hold up well on carpet. My husband loves them.

I've had my set of cherry wood Bose 301s for about 8 years and have wanted to purchase a pair of these stands for just as long. I'm not sure what took me so long to pull the trigger on them since they're so inexpensive but I'm glad I did. Now the speakers are at eye level - while sitting in a chair or couch - and actually did improve their sound. A lot of people knock Bose but I've never been disappointed with their products and I'm a hardcore music snob. I would recommend these stands to anyone with Bose 201/301 speakers.
