The Food Tray allows me to maintain an even amount of stuffing when making sausage. Working with the casing and adding stuffing to the original hopper was difficult. The Food Tray's large capacity makes the job so much easier. I recommend this part to anyone who owns a KitchenAid mixer with the FoodGrinder attachment.

I use the food try to put all my meat on when I make sausage. The food tray holds a large amount of meat making it very convenient so you don't have to stop every minute to add more.

This is a very helpful accessory when grinding long strips of meat (e.g. making ground chicken using chicken breast strips). It's a little on the big side so be sure you have space in a cupboard or drawer.

This is much easier than the tiny tray that comes on the grinder unit. Especially great with the fruit and vegetable strainer parts added to the grinder. Made tons of applesause in mere minutes compared with the old ways!

Liquids will leak around the edges and will fall down into your bowl. Most things you use this for it will not matter for the liquids to end up in your bowl, it just makes for a little mess.
