Hooker Furniture 5990-85001-LTWD Elixir Console Table in Serene Gray Beige Finish
From the champagne silver metal stretchers forming a graceful X shape to the serene gray beige wood finish, the Elixir Console Table is an expression of soft modern artistic style that exudes simplicity and well-being. Elixir is a casual contemporary collection that, like its name implies, exudes a feeling of comfort, simplicity and well-being. While Elixir has crisp, clean lines, character and visual interest are also achieved through the use of texture. Textural interest comes from the use of lightly sand-blasted walnut veneer, light texture applied to the metal elements along with a hand-carved texture added to the surface of select pieces such as the oval mirror and the round dining table. The buffet offers a beautiful carved starburst pattern on the doors.
Features
Construction
- Finish Construction: Hooker Furniture utilizes a multiple-step finish process of up to 16 finish steps. This results in an unsurpassed clarity, depth and color richness and durability to our finishes. Through hand-craftsmanship such as rubbing and padding, our finishes feel as good as they look, with a smoothness that is delightful to the touch.
- Frame Construction: Hooker Furniture uses carefully chosen solid wood and select wood veneers over durable wood products in our furniture construction. Use of veneers enables more decorative looks unattainable with solid wood. Veneers are used over durable wood products such as medium density fiberboard (MDF) and particle board, made of renewable resources. MDF and particle board are used in quality furniture for areas that need to be stable, such as large surfaces. These durable wood products do not expand and contract with heat and cold and do not absorb moisture as much as solid wood, which results in stronger and longer-lasting furniture
To Protect And Care For Your Furniture, We Suggest The Following:
- Avoid placing your furniture in direct sunlight, as sunlight causes fading.
- Avoid extreme changes in temperature by arranging furniture away from radiators, heat and air vents and air conditioning units.
- Avoid placing plastic or rubber materials (lamp bases, notebooks, placemats, etc.) on your furniture, as certain plastics contain ingredients that may damage the finish.
- Periodically rotate accessories on furniture so they do not sit in the same spot all the time.
- Use pads, cloth or felt to protect the furniture surface from plastic, rubber, hot dishes, beverages, bookends, flowerpots and vases.
- Clean up spills immediately. Use a blotting rather than a wiping action. Water left over a long period of time will cause white spots in the finish. Alcohol, perfume, after-shave and medications can cause severe finish damage.
- Use a protective pad when writing with a ballpoint pen on the furniture surface.
- Lift and place objects rather than dragging them across the furniture surface.
- Avoid placing furniture directly under windows.
Footnotes:
- Some color variation in photos of our furniture finishes, leathers and fabrics is possible due to lighting and differing resolution quality on computer devices.
