I just moved to a small apartment and had no room for my old full-size microwave. This Whirlpool microwave had great reviews so I thought I'd try it. It's small size is just perfect, doesn't take up much room on my counter. There's enough room inside to hold a full-size dinner plate (10 3/4" I think). It doesn't tip when you open the door, though it might slide a little since it's lightweight. Cook times may require some adjusting since it's only 700 watts but so far that hasn't been an issue. ABT definitely has the best price on this product as well.

Exactly what we needed for a 2nd microwave. Attractive, small footprint. But a reminder, small size can be a problem with rotation with containers having handles, other protuberances as won't have room to turn around when cooking. So, limited to dishes with small diameter. That said, for our use where we already have one, larger microwave, this is good when wanting to simultaneously prepare a second, smaller dish. But, wouldn't recommend if this is the only microwave you will own. Then, you will need one with a larger internal cavity!

We bought this microwave because we needed a small countertop model in white to match our other appliances. We use it mainly to heat up leftovers, thaw out bread, melt butter and chocolate for cooking, and steam vegetables. It works adequately for all of these tasks, and it is large enough to hold a dinner plate but small enough to fit in a corner without taking up a lot of counter space.
A 30-second button rather than a 1-minute button would be more useful, and a timer would be nice, but the one feature I really don't like is that it doesn't have a button to open the door. You have to brace the oven slightly (I use my thumb) when pulling the door open or it moves around.
Other than that, a decent product at a fair price that does what it is supposed to do.

I wanted a small, inexpensive microwave for reheating leftovers, defrosting frozen foods, that kind of thing. Other than being a little noisy and retaining food smells even after cleaning and airing it out (I can still smell yesterday's popcorn), this one has been perfect for my purposes so far. Although there may be larger capacity and more powerful microwaves out there, since I am not a gourmet cook this unit suits me perfectly. Even the split pea soup that exploded all over the oven when I accidentally left it in too long cleaned up easily. I especially like the fact that it comes with under cabinet mounting hardware. I have a small kitchen so the fact that it takes up no counter space and is at eye level is a real bonus. Although I have only owned it for about a month, I am hoping that it will be as reliable as my Whirlpool built-in oven which has been trouble free for over 15 years.

I use a microwave for reheating or quick defrosting. If you plan on cooking anything, you will need one that has a larger interior space and more power. This one is quite narrow, so a large bowl won't fit. A dinner plate or small container is fine.

We reheat coffee and leftovers, make microwave popcorn. We are still learning not to burn the popcorn! We bought it because we thought it had a door release button(looked like it in the photo) and that we could hang it from the cabinet. There is no door release button. When we hung it from the cabinet, the outside of the cabinet separated from the microwave, so we have to keep it on the countertop. We paid a little more thinking we would get those features, but probably could have found a simple counter model for less.

I'm very pleased with this compact microwave. It's size and weight were perfect for my purpose of hanging a microwave under the cabinet. I use it to warm things up or cook a frozen entree, so the wattage is very adequate. The instructional manual was very straight forward and easy to read...simple instructions. I especially like that there are 7 "EZ Choice" buttons...more than just the normal popcorn and baked potato. It's a cute little unit with a high performance...I recommend it to anyone who wants to save space.

I looked at stores in my area and most looked quite cheap. I didn't like the ones I saw that had a push button to open the door and no door handle, I tried them and it seemed a bit foolish, as the door only opens about two inches, then you have to open the door yourself. This one has a handle, simple, and it works. Just the right size for me, heating up leftovers, maybe defrost a bit, make a burrito.

I purchased this Whirlpool microwave to replace another 700 watt brand that served me well for 17 years. I needed a very compact size to fit on my cart with my toaster oven. I trust and like the Whirlpool brand & already own an air conditioner & air purifier by Whirlpool. This microwave is the perfect size and is very easy to use. It has a turntable that spins while cooking which helps with more even heating, a feature my previous one did not have. And, this purchase is the absolute best bargain I ever received. In my work truck I have a 500W inverter with 750W peak for 10 minutes. It has not blown any fuses or done anything but heat my lunches. The microwave does wonderful for leftovers, soup, popcorn and whatever I've thrown at it. I just takes a bit longer than the 1100W microwave I have at home, but that is to be expected. Wonderful for when I'm out in the middle of nowhere and need a hot cup of chili.

I have a small kitchen so after my old microwave stopped working I looked high and low for one that would mount under a cabinet. This is one of the few I could find. It heats a full size dinner plate in spite of it's small size. The turn table is a little jerky but it does the trick. Things take a tad longer but for the price it's perfect.

We bought this as a gift for my mom, who lives alone in an older building where space is somewhat limited. This unit was perfect for her--the wattage wasn't too high, and it was compact enough, yet has all the bells and whistles you could want in a microwave. She's very happy with it. I bought this micro because it mounted under the cabinet and of its positive reviews. My GE Spacemaker also mounted under the cabinet, but died after >15 years, and the new model Spacemaker didn't get good reviews. Unfortunately the first microwave that ABT sent didn't work so we had to send it back. This replacement microwave works very well and I LOVE that it mounts so as to give me more counter space. Great price.

I bought this because of the under-cabinet mounting kit it comes with. Inexplicably, this seems like a real niche, and microwaves that come with or support under-cabinet mounting are hard to find. Typically they're also a lot more expensive than this one and the mounting kit is sold separately for another $20+.Given this unit, with mount, cost only [$], I was a little concerned about quality and ease of use. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to mount, how simple it is to use and how well it works.It's only 700W, so cooking takes a bit longer than with other microwaves, but that also means it doesn't draw a lot of power (requiring a dedicated circuit) the way a 1000W+ microwave might. It also doesn't dissipate a lot of heat.I wish it had a kitchen timer (as most microwaves do), but that's a trivial oversight given most of my other appliances do have one.I'd definitely buy this unit again, and I'd definitely shop with [...] again!

I use it more for reheating than cooking but occasionally will micro a burger in 5 min instead of broiling. This microwave is more than ample uuless you want to micro a turkey or a very large roast. The only thing I miss on this micro is a separate timer that times without turning the microwave on. A great buy for the money!

This microwave is made to mount under a cabinet, so there are 4 small plastic caps where the screws would go, which look kinda funny if you are keeping it on your countertop. The door is really solid and the buttons are simple. It has plenty of power and heats as quickly as my 1100w model did. The only thing I don't like is the tray. It doesn't turn smoothly. Doesn't seem to affect the heating, but it doesn't thrill me. It drags a lot.

This microwave is exactly what i was looking for: small, simple, and reasonably priced. It is listed for over twice as much on Amazon. It is the perfect size and though it's a little low on power, that just means you cook things a little longer, which also seems to mean more even cooking.
The presets for popcorn and baked potatoes are near perfect. In our last apartment the microwave always burned the popcorn.
The reviews say it is reliable and I have to agree the construction does seem to be a lot more sturdy than anything else i looked at.

For this price, it works well enough. It's not very powerful, however if you don't mind waiting an extra 30sec it's just fine. It also fits perfectly on my tiny countertop and has the option of under the cabinet mounting. If you don't have a lot of space to play with, it is a good compromise of power and size. Its only defect is that it's clock stinks: everytime you turn the microwave oven off, you have to re-enter the time the next time you switch it on - i.e. in case you are someone who uses a microwave as a clock.

This is a great little microwave [...] We have limited space and hubby was able to install this under a counter very easily. (great news for the unhandy!) This microwave is replacing my old 23 year old model and I am amazed at how quiet and easy it is to use. It is the perfect model for us as we are retired and can wait the few extra seconds it takes to heat over the higher watt models. It isn't made like the all metal older models so I don't think the door would hold up too well with a lot of little hands opening and closing all day. But for us -- it works great -- the price is right and I would buy it again!

This microwave replaced my big GE $400. microwave. It's the perfect size for what most of us use microwaves for. Heating a plate up. And it does it much better than my $400. one did. In fact this is the best microwave I have used at getting the right temperatures. Plus it has a pizza reheat button. Everyone in my house loves that.

I don't cook in a microwave, but I do use it to reheat. This model freed up counter space, and for the money it was exactly what I wanted. If you use a microwave alot and for various cooking applications you will probably want something bigger and more powerful. This was also fairly easy to mount under the cabinets.

My 19 yr old microwave finally gave up it's ghost. It was only a 400W, but it suited my simple needs. When searching for a replacement, I was discouraged as to the large size of available products. My kitchen is microsize, so I needed something small.
I read online reviews of many makes/models, and, with the "under cupboard mounting hardware" included, I took a chance.
When I first put it on the counter, it rocked back and forth. One of the "feet" was uneven. I put a little folded paper under it to even it up. As I plan on mounting it under a cupboard (limited counter space), I'm not too concerned. I wouldn't think they're all made uneven like mine.
At 700W, this microwave has made me very happy. It's simple to use. I do not cook full meals in it, so a more powerful appliance would have been a waste. I use it mostly for heating up vegies, reheating leftovers, and easy cooking. The minute plus button works anytime, multiple times. The green LED display is pleasing. The auto cook & defrost seems right on. The glass turntable is smaller than my old one, but it holds a standard plate just fine.
I'd suggest shopping around to find the best deal on this microwave. Prices varied considerably in my research.
