Not suitable to hit on a butcher knife

BOTTOM LINE No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

My application is to hit on top of a thick butcher knife with a solid stainless steel mallet for cutting a 3-6lb fish into small pieces. The flat side of the mallet head got dents suggesting hollow space inside. It failed to withstand even a moderate pressure from hitting on a thick butcher knife. I need a mallet with the solid flat head. So, I returned the product for a refund.

Pros:	Dishwasher Safe, Easy To Use, Convenient, Attractive Design, Compact
Cons:	Not a solid head, Flimsy Construction, Flat head dents inwards
Best Uses:	Tenderizing Meat only
