I ordered this as a replacement for a wire whisk that I ruined because I dropped a measuring cup into the bowl while whipping. The first thing that I noticed was that there was a note saying not to put it into the dishwasher because the head piece was made of aluminum. The old one I had was made out of stainless steel. While I don't think it will affect the function, have you ever tried to clean one of these? The best place for it is the dishwasher!

This wisk is supposed to fit the Kitchenaid 4.5 quart mixer, but it doesn't fit the 4.5 quart bowl lift model (K4SSWH). I found out that you have to buy the 5 quart wisk for that model. But I'm sure it would work great in the right mixer.
