BOTTOM LINE Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

I use this deck to transfer my large vinyl collection onto CD. It works great.

Best Uses:	Basic Systems, Audiophiles, Smaller Rooms
Pros:	Great Sound, Easy Controls, Doesn't Skip, Easy To Set Up, Attractive Design

Great Tool For Converting Vinyl

BOTTOM LINE Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

I use this to convert my vinyl LP's to wav files for MP3 and back-ups. I have a great turntable that is hooked up via analogue (stero) and s/pdif (digital). I find with Sony's SBM (superbit map) feature, when I record the vinyl via analouge it comes out so much more crisp and detailed than using digital. Playback sounds great as well. I hope Sony does not decide to discontinue this item, as Sony sometimes like to do. Poor minidisc :(

Pros:	Great Sound, Easy To Set Up, Durable
Cons:	Unattractive Design

Does what I wanted it to.

Loading and unloading CDs, and reviewing what you have in the machine already, takes longer and is more awkward than with carousel designs. But I bought it to play MP3s and to duplicate CDs and it does both of these very well.

Many features have yet to use them all. Very happy with purchase and the overall ABT experience. Their sales rep helped me with a compatible receiver and speakers.
