Variable Speed Technology
Our ExtendFresh™ continuous temperature management plus system independently monitors temperatures inside the refrigerator and freezer compartments. This helps prevent wide temperature swings and helps maintain the taste and texture of your foods. To provide even tighter temperature control, KitchenAid built-in refrigerators feature variable speed technology. The compressor, evaporator fan, and air baffle, operate at variable performance levels to match your cooling needs. During normal usage, the compressor will operate at the lowest, most efficient level, while reserving cooling power for when you need to quickly lower temperatures - like when a large quantity is added.
ClearVue™ SatinGlide™ Freezer Baskets
A robust front panel is visually consistent with the crisper and ExtendFresh™ Ingredient Care Center. The basket features a soft-underside handle that makes the basket easy to open, and a glide system adds stability and minimizes side-to-side movement. The clear front panel offers increased visibility.
ClearVue™ SatinGlide™ Crispers
SatinGlide crisper design supports a clear front panel that makes it easy to see the contents from a standing position. The handle design is consistent with the rest of the refrigerator and makes the crisper easy to open. As you open the crisper, you'll notice the glide system that allows the crisper to move smoothly even with heavy loads.
