Cuisinart 4-Cup Black Coffeemaker - DCC-450BK

I was looking for a small coffee maker that brewed real coffee and not a pod or K-cup without having to pull out my large coffee maker for every day use. This is perfect for one person for 2 nice size cups of coffee.

Works great without taking up a lot of space.

We use it every morning . And, it makes a great cup of coffee

You cannot pour a cup unless over the sink. You have to remove the lid and pour from the side. Stainless steel container gives coffee a "tinny" taste.

You cannot pour a cup of coffee without it leaking all over the cabinet.

This was a replacement for an exact product, I had it for many years and finally the switch burned out. I love it and that's why I replaced it with the exact same coffee maker. It is perfect size for one and it makes coffee very quickly and is great looking on my kitchen counter.

coffee maker should have a convenient exterior water gauge. Metal pot should have glass top, so amount of water needed can be measured at the water source. Now you must carry water to coffee maker pour in the right amount and then return to water source to throw out surplus water.If pot had a measuring capacity, you could put in exact amount and then replace pot on brewer and turn it on...All in one step.

I have used this coffeemaker every day for over 3 weeks and as I get better acquainted with it, I like it more than when I started. It has a real quality look and feel, makes fine coffee, and is easy to clean up. Very satisfied!

Makes a decent cup of coffee fairly quickly. Small stainless pot is a plus but would have preferred it to be thermal pot.(coffee quickly gets burnt taste if left too long) Coffee pot spills when pouring.

It's hard to find a good quality coffee maker when you only want a small 4 cup maker. This is good quality and the conical shaped filter style makes great coffee.

Everyday S/S carf can't break Power switch too short a timeout cycle Filter basket pops up if not snapped in to the retainer and pause valve closes and all the coffee brews inside the basket. Coffee when poured leaks down the side of the pot and goes all over the counter....Poor spout design I would return this unit in a heart beat and give the unit back to the engineering dept.,And let them use this unit for a week and see the stupid design...know this unit was not field tested. Water indicator on the inside of the tank...good visibility but if you want to check water level while brewing can't do it!

Pot cover is difficult to remover/install. Difficult to pour all of the water in the pot into the brewer.

This is my second one of these. The other bit the dust at about 5 years of age. Wish it had lasted longer but this is the nicest 4 cup maker I have found so I deceided to just get another one.

We only drink one cup of coffee a day, so quality is important to us. This maker made our favorite brand of coffee as well as our large pot we use at home. Would definitely recommend.

Great quality for the price. Love the look of the stainless steel pot and the ease of cleaning it. Brews more rapidly than my other coffee maker. Size is perfect since I am the only coffee drinker in the family. Occupies very little space on the counter and looks very stylish.

Simple to operate. Brews wonderful coffee. Needed to rearrange a few small kitchen appliances because of the short power cord.

This coffee maker is small, attractive and makes great coffee. I had no problem pouring the water into the reservoir and don't think it feels "cheap" as some other reviews have stated. It's perfect for the money and for someone who doesn't drink a ton of coffee.

Small and compact doesnt take up alot of space on my counter.I would recommend it to a person that drinks a few cups.Not usefully for a two drinking coffee family.But since my husband doesnt drink coffee it works out great for me.

I use this coffeemaker every morning before work and occasionally on the weekends. It brews just enough for me and since I don't need to keep a pot ready all day the shutoff feature is nice. I used to forget to shut off my old Krups coffeemaker. My only con is the carafe lid is a little awkward to remove but no big deal. Very happy with the style, too, as it matches my stainless steel appliances.

I think it is a perfect coffee maker who enjoys a cup of coffee in the morning. It's not for a couple or ppl with families but it's perfect for single person like me. It's pretty quiet and the stainless carafe is great.

We've cut the amount of coffee we used to use in half with this maker, and the coffee taste great.

I got what I expected. Easy to use, nice looking unit and carafe, brews quickly enough, not too much noise. I especially like the way the lid that opens to give access to the water tank and basket, snaps into place to secure the brewing basket. This prevents the brewing basket from being pushed upward when inserting the carafe, which can cause a mess (like other units). If the unit would turn off the burner automatically right after the brewing cycle it would be perfect! I don't like the flavor of coffe that has been sitting on a burner.
