Works great, follow the directions!

I use this to grind hamburger and breakfast sausage. The instructions tell you to cut the meat into 1/4" chunks and marinate them a while in your seasoning. Follow this advice! You won't be disappointed.

If you haven't ground meat before, it takes a bit of getting used to. Once you've ground a few pounds, no problem. It does make quite a racket, but that's not a problem for me.
Pros: Easy to Use, Powerful Motor
Cons: Noisy
Best Uses: Sausages, Hamburgers

We did a lot of research to find the right product for home use in processing our game meat and we made the right decision with this Waring Pro. It worked excellent right out of the box and after several uses so far between processing ground meat from two deer, we absolutely love it and would recommended it to any and every one.

So far I have only made beef and lamb burgers and it worked up to the level that I expected. I am pretty pleased since most gadgets fall below the expectation line and this one met it! Time will tell if it was a worthwhile buy, but I think that it will be good with the guarantee for the motor that is included.

Several kitchen supply stores I visited had the Waring meat grinders, but none had the 450 watt motor. This is what really makes the difference when using this grinder. This one has all the power you need to grind chuck roasts, etc., but operates quietly unlike the commercial grinders. Grind your own and eliminate the worry of unkind bacterias in your hamburger.
Best Uses: Occassional
Pros: Simple Controls, Powerful, Easy To Assemble

Of course, compare with my commercial grinder it is not as powerful. But for home use, can't get any better. Light weight, easy to assemble. I love to use it to cook for my cooks.

Good, but not dishwasher safe

I think this is a high quality machine. It works very well. But the parts are not dishwasher safe. Since the parts have contact with raw meat, I'd prefer to run it through the dishwasher. If I get to choose a grinder again, I would definitely choose one that is stainless steel.
Pros: Good construction, Intuitive controls, High quality
Cons: Hard to Clean, Parts not dishwasher safe
Best Uses: Large Kitchens
