I wish it would cook a bit more, and it can boil over a bit so make sure you measure properly. Overall its pretty much just loading it up and waiting for it to finish, one less pot on the stove and one less distraction.

Haven't encountered the boil over problem, some mention. I'ts great for vegetables, once you figure out what cooking time you prefer. I give brussle sprouts 20 to 25 minutes, from the point it's turned on to finished.

I use it basically for rice and steaming veggies. Perfect size for a family of two. Could be slightly larger (especially for steaming veggies), particularly if you have an additional person for meals. Overall, a great product.

For rice and vegetables peparation; Perfect size for 3-4 people; Some boil over the first several times used but we moved it from under the cabinet and the boil over stopped; No boil over when the steamer is in place; All components easy to clean in dishwasher;

Me: Bachelor. This rice cooker is absolutely fool proof. Before, it was Minute Rice in a sauce pan with a lid and a kitchen timer, and hope the water to rice ratio was right. With this great little robot of a cooker, my rice comes out cooked to perfection with a little "ding" sound when all is done, AND it keeps the rice table-ready-hot on a warmer setting. I've tried the steamer with shrimp and veggies as well. With experimentation, this Cuisinart Rice Cooker can pay its way along with your toaster, blender, and microwave.

Not sure why it consistently boils over, even when making a small batch of rice. Quick and easy is the best reason to get a rice maker -- that should include clean up. I'll continue to use this one, but I wouldn't buy this one again.

Use it daily(only for rice cooking), so far so good. My Oyama rice cooker lasts just over the warranty period(one year)and unable to cook(only warm function works). I hope this Cuisinart will last longer like my first Tiger rice cooker (ten years).

I review a number of rice cookers and ended up picking this one for my first ever rice cooker. Wow, it cooked the rice perfect (all types of rice, comes with simple, detailed instructions), and enhanced every meal I cooked with it. I now am cooking with it several times a week and having fun planning new rice dishes I would have never cooked before. I would recommend to anyone!

NO POWER CORD RETRACTER!

Retractable power cord appears to no longer be a feature (as advertised) as it was not on the original and subsequent replacement unit I received. Power cord on the units I received was solidly attached to bottom of unit - NO RETRACTER!
