Bring your home theatre to life with the incredible sounds of the DAV-FR10W DVD Dream® System from Sony. It features 800 watts of total system power, an S-Master™ full digital amplifier, and a digital direct twin drive subwoofer, all combining to bring the thrills of a movie theatre right into your living room.
Tired of the wiring hassle associated with most home theatre systems? The DAV-FR10W features wireless speakers thanks to the front-to-rear DIAT digital infrared audio transmission system. It makes speaker setup and placement a snap.

The DAV-FR10W also features a 5-Disc SACD audio disc, standard audio CD, and DVD changer with Progressive Scan output for a variety of entertainment choices. It is compatible with most major audio encoding systems, including Dolby® Digital, dts®, Dolby® Digital EX, dts® ES, and Dolby® Pro Logic® II. It is even capable of playing back CD-R and CD-RW discs and MP3 audio.

  Demonstration - MP3 playback works with Sony’s Graphic User Interface (GUI) to provide user-friendly disc navigation. Pressing the DVD Menu button will bring up a list of all albums that are created in the MP3 format that exist on the CD. Demonstration Hint 1. Load a CD that has MP3 files into the DVD Player. 2. In stop mode, press the DVD DISPLAY button on the remote to bring up the album menu. 3. Point out that the album menu is now displayed. Select an album using the h/i keys and press ENTER on the remote bringing up the track menu. 4. Point out that the track menu is now displayed. 5. Select a track using the h/i keys and press ENTER one the remote the selected track will begin to play.

Demonstration Hint 1. Insert a CD-R/RW disc that includes recognized JPEG files (for acceptable types please refer to owners manual). 2. Press the DVD DISPLAY button on the Remote Control, followed by pressing the Up/Down Arrows on the Remote followed by the ENTER button to choose the JPEG files you wish to play. 3. Press 8 while playing a JPEG image to start slide show. Press 4 on the Remote Control to exit slide show. 4. To rotate images press the ENTER button on the remote followed by the ?/? on the remote Control.

  Benefit - Creates incredible surround sound effects from stereo music and movies in a 5.1-like channel format (Front L/R, Center, Rear L/R, Sub all produce sound).
  Demonstration - Creating a full 5.1 channel surround system requires only a stereo source. You can now listen to the radio, a CD, or VCR tape in full surround sound. Anything stereo can be distributed to your front, surround, subwoofer, and center speaker for wonderful surround effects. Demonstration Hint 1. Press the AMP MENU button on the remote repeatedly to display CUSTOMIZE. 2. Use ?/? keys on the remote till 2CH MODE is displayed and press ENTER. 3. Use ?/? keys on the remote to choose PL II MOVIE or PL II MUSIC. 4. Select a two channel source like CD, Tuner, etc. Press the SOUNDFIELD button on the remote control repeatedly to display NORMAL SURROUND. 5. The DVD Dream system will now be producing Multi-Channel Surround Sound!
