It displays disc titles from text-encoded discs and has an optical digital output for connection to a CD recorder. Made my decision on this product based on other reviews. Set aside several hours to load our 250+ CDs and programmed each into one of five available "modes." Simply entered each CD title and artist into an Excel spreadsheet and then sorted by Artist, CD number and mode. If you don't mind investing the initial setup time, you will be very pleased. Made sure I leveled the unit after it was loaded with spacers under the legs. I encourage you to take this step. No more unsightly CD cases laying around anymore either!
