I own an expensive, custom, solid wood jazz archtop guitar, which needs to be kept in humidified air during the dry winter months. The Bemis humidifier and filters do a great job. I hold the humidity at 50% all winter on one filter. The intonation stays perfect, and the guitar stays healthy. So do I.

The filter is very good.
The life of the filter is to short due to the area I have it in. It does put enough humidity in the air to reduce static electricy.

This is a product available from many sources, but ABT's price was the best[...].As with any evaporative wick, well water users would be wise to add a demineralization product to keep minerals from clogging the wick. In our case, it was only a matter of a few weeks before the efficiency of the wick dropped nearly to zero. This isn't the wick's fault, it's just a function of water with lots of minerals in it. The extra cost of the demineralization product pays off many times in not having to replace the wick nearly so often.

This filter functions perfectly. With the near 0 temperatures we have been having this filter has be working perfectly.
