too loud for bedroom...
By Alex from Toronto, On on 03/7/2010.
Pros: Adjustable Settings
Cons: Bulky, Loud
Describe Yourself: Homeowner
Best Uses: Living Room
it is very loud, and not good for bedroom at all. it is also not suitable for large room - only about 3-4 ft around it get moister. big and hard to move when full impossible to refill without spilling water needs handle on the bottom it consumes as much electricity as my old steam humidifier not recommended.. total waste
Great for the price.

Pros: Adjustable Settings, Quiet, Lightweight, Easy To Use
Best Uses: Bedroom, Dry Winter

Our bedroom was just too dry this winter making it uncomfortable to sleep, and this humidifier solved the problem. It's quiet and can provide as much moisture as needed.

This is my second one......
By Lakeguy from Mid-Illinois on 01/29/2010.
Describe Yourself: Homeowner
Best Uses: Living Room, Dry Winter
Pros: Quiet, Adjustable Settings, Lightweight, Easy To Use
In Illinois we have great winters, my first I ran almost continuiously for 4 months every winter for 3 years, the motor final failed and I liked them so much I got another. You need to replace the filter about every 4-6 weeks and have the purifier cartridge. It easy to clean and as I run mine right by my furnace intake, it helps humidify the whole house. The large container means I fill the tank twice a day, which make me happy knowing I am putting 6 gallons of water into the air every day!!!!!
Works as advertised
By Breathing better Bob from Fairfax, VA on 01/26/2010.
Best Uses: Bedroom, Dry Winter
Pros: Easy To Use, Quiet, Adjustable Settings
Describe Yourself: Renter
Very pleased as it performs well and keeps a good sized master bedroom comfortable. Would definitely recommend it. My only complaint is that it does not shut off when water is gone.
average product, not quiet
By Alicia from NJ on 01/6/2010.
Pros: Adjustable Settings, Easy To Use
Describe Yourself: Homeowner
Best Uses: Living Room
Cons: Loud
The product is okay for the price, but too noisy for a bedroom. It is better used in a living room or family room.
Fantastically quiet
By Katie from Chicago on 01/4/2010.
Best Uses: Dry Winter, Bedroom
Pros: Easy To Use, Adjustable Settings, Quiet, Lightweight
Describe Yourself: Homeowner
Every night I turn on my new humidifier to help alleviate the cold winter effects like dryness and static. It's such a quiet model that I keep it running overnight right in my bedroom.
would not recommend!
By pat from chicago on 12/30/2009.
Pros: Adjustable Settings
Best Uses: Dry Winter
Cons: Hard To Clean, Difficult to Fill
Describe Yourself: Homeowner
I would not recommend this product because it is so difficult to fill. The tank has to be removed and upended, cap removed, filled and everything replaced . It also splashes water when removing the tank for filling.
Good!

By Yongos from Columbus, OH on 03/1/2009.
Pros: Adjustable Settings

Cons: Loud

Kind of loud. Need to refill often depending on how and where you use it. Does it's job and good overall.
nice humidifier
By jfried from Knoxville, TN on 02/27/2009.
Pros: Adjustable Settings, Quiet, Lightweight
Best Uses: Dry Winter, Bedroom
Describe Yourself: Homeowner
We got it to use in the bedroom in the winter; nice "quiet" noise and lasts two nights without refilling.
Reasonably quiet
By New Englander from western Mass on 02/27/2009.
Pros: Adjustable Settings, Lightweight, Easy To Use, Quiet
Best Uses: Dry Winter
Describe Yourself: Homeowner
This humidifier is by no means silent, but it's reasonably quiet even on a table set on a hardwood floor and would be even quieter on a carpeted floor. The container is awkward to fill until you get used to it, which doesn't take long. I'm very happy with the product so far, and if the filters were out quickly, well, they need to be changed periodically anyway to avoid anything growing there.
Easy to use. Very quiet.
By LR from Chicago,IL on 02/24/2009.
Best Uses: Bedroom, Dry Winter, Living Room

Pros: Quiet, Energy Efficient, Adjustable Settings, Lightweight
Perfect size for bedroom and living room. Much quieter than expected. Easy to fill.
Great Compact Humidifier
By judine from Philadelphia, PA on 02/18/2009.
Pros: Adjustable Settings, Quiet
Best Uses: Bedroom
Cons: Difficult to Fill
Describe Yourself: Homeowner
It is really hard to fill since the tank is slanted that is my only complaint.
Good purchase
By Queengrandma from Smithtown.NY on 02/3/2009.
Best Uses: Dry Winter, Bedroom, Nursery, Help With Ailments

Cons: None yet
Pros: Quiet, Adjustable Settings
Quality product, waiting to see how long filter lasts, nice fine mist and quiet. Happy with this purchase.
Clumsy to fill, needs bottom handle
By The Capn from Queens, NY on 01/30/2009.
Cons: Difficult to Fill
Best Uses: Dry Winter, Bedroom
Pros: Energy Efficient, Adjustable Settings, Quiet
Describe Yourself: Renter
Very quiet. Efficient disbursal of mist, but low, horizontal vent outlet delivers chilly draft - better if angled upward. Also, it's quite difficult to fill: rounded top and bottom, so you can't set it down, and no recessed handle on the filling end, so you have to hold it by hooking your fingers in the opening. Poorly designed.
Tougher to fill than others.....
By Joe from CT, USA on 01/26/2009.
Best Uses: Bedroom
Cons: Difficult to Fill
Describe Yourself: Homeowner, Professional, Handyman
Pros: Lightweight, Easy To Use, Adjustable Settings
If you could fill this from the top with a pitcher without removing the water chamber it would be a good machine.
Works well, would recommend
By Dogfish from Ithaca, NY on 01/24/2009.
Pros: Easy To Use, Lightweight, Quiet, Adjustable Settings
Describe Yourself: Homeowner
Best Uses: Living Room, Dry Winter, Bedroom
It's a tiny bit noisy and does cause a cool breeze. You won't want it blowing on you on a cold winter night. It does do a great job of putting moisture into the air quick and for the price, I don't think you can do much better.
THE MOISTURERISER
By CRISRODG from RACINE WI on 01/18/2009.
Pros: Adjustable Settings, Lightweight, Easy To Clean
Best Uses: Dry Winter
Describe Yourself: Homeowner
Cons: WATER SPILLS WHEN MOVED
IT IS NOT THE QUIETEST, BUT DOES A GOOD JOB. THE OTHER PROBLEM WITH IT IS THAT IF YOU DO NOT MOVE IT CAREFULLY, YOU CAN HAVE A MESS WITH WATER SPILLING OUT.
Happy with this product

The humidifier is quiet and easy to use. Perfect for bedrooms. On low setting I ran a week without refilling. For me and my family a great low maintainable addition to the dry Winter season.

By Olivia from Michigan on 11/20/2008.
Pros: Adjustable Settings, Quiet
Best Uses: Help With Ailments, Bedroom
Describe Yourself: Homeowner, Professional
It's easy to use and I like the different speed level, it's quiet enough to use in the bedroom at night on low speed. I have a hard time adjusting the humidity in our bedroom, maybe I should have bought the model with the sensor. I would still recommend this product.
quiet but small
By mom from chicago il on 02/4/2008.
Best Uses: Bedroom, Dry Winter
Cons: Poor Water Capacity
Pros: Quiet
Describe Yourself: Renter
this machine is quiet, the fitting at the bottom of the water drum leaks a bit but it humidifies well. the water tank when full lasts though less than through the night, but its a very good machine. i recommend it.
Gets the job done
By ALS in KY from Independence, KY on 03/2/2007.
Pros: Good Value, Durable
Cons: none
Best Uses: Used in large living room
Product works well. It would be nice not to have to fill the humidifier so often. Only runs about 12 hours on high before it needs refilled. Worked well and got the job done. Relatively quiet. Good item for the price.
Best Humidifier
By New Mom from Plano, TX on 02/13/2007.
Best Uses: Bedroom, Help With Ailments, Dry Winter
Pros: Lightweight, Adjustable Settings, Energy Efficient, Quiet
We have a new baby that has been sick alot and we needed a humidifier that really worked. It works great even on the lowest setting so you can hear him on the monitor instead of just the machine. I tried a couple of others and they were too loud and didn't put enough moisture in the air. Since, we've bought another one for our own bedroom.
Good product for the price.
By Dad of 2 little tykes from Houston, Texas on 01/31/2007.
Pros: Adjustable Settings, Quiet, Lightweight, Energy Efficient
Best Uses: Bedroom, Dry Winter
Cons: Filter
Only issue I have is that the filter needs to be replaced a bit too often, per the user manual, even if the unit is not used veru much. But that appears to be the case with many of these types of humidifiers not just this brand. Overall I give it an 8.5 out of 10.
A silent sleep aid!
By Hal from Highland Park, Il on 01/23/2007.
Pros: Adjustable Settings, Quiet, Energy Efficient
Best Uses: Bedroom, Dry Winter
Cons: Difficult to Fill
A previous customer had posted a comment that, among other things, it was very quiet. That's what I needed as I am a very light sleeper. Happiky, yje unit is even quieter than I had anticipated. Highly recommend it
Exactly what I wanted
By the Mom from San Jose, CA on 01/17/2007.
Best Uses: Bedroom, Living Room, Dry Winter
Pros: Lightweight, Quiet, Adjustable Settings
Two people living in this house have asthma and with this being a very cold and dry winter so far, their colds and asthma issues were worse and longer in duration than usual. Our doctor recommended a humidifier so I did some research and decided to purchase the Honeywell QuietCare 3.0 Gallon. The machine itself is excellent and exactly what we needed [...]. I use it in the main part of our house during the day and when my kids were sick, I put it in their bedroom at night. It's very, very quiet.
Works for me
By Dan from Knoxville, TN on 01/12/2007.
Cons: Difficult to Fill
Best Uses: Living Room
Pros: Quiet, Adjustable Settings
I have a small house and this humidifier works just fine for what it's rated. I was using the highest setting at first and refilling the water often. So I clicked it down 1 setting and the water last about 3 times as long and it seemed to me it worked better bringing the humidity up faster. When I buy a bigger house I will buy the larger version of this one.
Good value
By Vlad from Brooklyn on 01/10/2007.
Pros: Adjustable Settings, Quiet
Cons: Poor Water Capacity
I purchased this product for my newborn's room so it had to be quiet. Generally, I am pleased with the sound level at it's lowest speed. At any other speed, it seems too loud in my opinion. I am not pleased with the capacity of the tank - I have to refill it about every 10 hours or so. They could have easily increased the capacity by varying the shape of the tank so that it doesn't contain a curve and go straight up from the base. This would not increase the footprint of the unit at all. Other than that, it does what it's built to do. I can usually get the humidity level up in that one room to 50% with the door open.
Easy to Setup, Use, and Gets the Job Don
By jdsmith624 from Rochester, NY on 11/29/2006.
Pros: Adjustable Settings, Quiet, Energy Efficient, Lightweight
Best Uses: Living Room, Bedroom, Dry Winter
I purchased 2 of these humidifiers for my apartment, for both my living room and bedroom. My rooms aren't extremely large, but for small to midsize rooms I feel this product can accomplish the humidity you desire with only refilling the humidifier on a daily basis. The humidifier is easy to set-up, lightweight, and easy to fill. The adjustable settings help to reach the humidity level you desire and also shutoff so as to not over-humidify your room. Overall, I've been satisfied.
Good value
By no nickname from Maine on 11/17/2006.
Best Uses: Dry Winter
Pros: Energy Efficient, Lightweight, Quiet, Adjustable Settings
[...]I've only used the unit for about 2 1/2 weeks, so I can't speak to long-term reliability. But so far, so good. It's very quiet and compact and does a good job humidifying a fairly large space. I like the included Protec cleaning cartridge - it seems to inhibit mold growth and supposedly works for up to a month. I did some checking for replacement Protec cleaning cartridges and they seem fairly inexpensive, $10 for a two-pack, and that was at a local hardware store. [...] Good product.
