This refrigerator works great as a second refrigerator in the garage when the temperatures fall below 30 degrees. It is worth the cost as no other refrigerator out there now meets this need, and I had done alot of research. It is a good size and the castors/wheels make it easy to move. We are very satisfied with this product and the service provided by ABT.

The delivery was timely and the gentlemen were cautious and very careful when unpacking and also in the placement. This being my first purchase from ABT it was a very good experience, even though the first unit had to be replaced due to an internal problem, the delivery was again timely and the service was the same both times. ABT obviously is a company that offers customer satisfaction and service with a smile!! Thus far the performance of the refrigerator has been faultless!!

This is a sturdy, well made fridge that sits up on big casters. It is conventional and handy inside, with well made shelves and racks and roomy. The purpose of this fridge is to give great service in a hot, humid garage. It does that perfectly. This is my second one and both have been outstanding appliances. I would never go back to having a conventional kitchen refrigerator in the garage.

This replaces a handed down small stand-up freezer that frosted over every six months. Each time we lost food and we had to drop everything to defrost, & cook thawed meat. We got rid of that and a few months later replaced with this one for the garage. It fits perfectly. I put certain food directly from the car to this unit after shopping. Used for extra milk, soda (my kids drink less if they have to go out to the garage for it), apples we just picked, juice, eggs, etc. When I run out in the kitchen, I have my "overstock" in the garage. Also, good for frozen food: ice cream, bread, meats.

This fridge is intended for a garage, with the usual garage punishing heat and humidity. It is a very sturdy, well-built, heavy duty fridge and sits up on 6" castered wheels. It has every feature a kitchen fridge has, although no ice maker. It is intended for, and performs beautifully in a miserably hot, humid garage atmosphere. I owned another before this one and it was of the same high quality, reliability and value.

Excellent Garage Fridge !!

Throughout twenty HOT summer days in Texas (over 100 degrees), this garage fridge held great cold temperature. At max cool, the beer was too cold to taste the flavor - had to let the beer warm up a bit before consuming. Since I turned the setting to be a little warmer it is now PERFECT. Earlier models apparently had a 3 step temperature control. Mine has a continuous dial and I can tell the difference a small adjustment makes. Anybody that complains about a slightly elevated noise level in an outdoor fridge is either in the doghouse (oops) or doesn't have the game's volume loud enough ;)

This was the only refrigerator that I could find that will tolerate an unheated garage. I won't be able to give the full review until winter rolls in (usually October in Wisconsin). Great to have a place for the reserve 3 gallons of milk for my teenage son. Setup was very easy - didn't need any assistance installing casters.

Works very well in the garage

Had a fridge in the garage that went bad. Bought a new one from abt. Freezer didn't work in freezing conditions (yes, ironic). This fridge freezes well in a below freezing garage. Other models (standard whirlpool fridge) do not freeze when exterior temp is below 34 degrees F due to thermostats not being like they used to and insulation not being like it used to.

While surfing the web we came across this fridge with the (AMAZING) ability to keep things from freezing in the fridge when stored in the garage in northern winters. I don't know why someone didn't invent this sooner, but we are MORE THAN thrilled with this product. [...] Looks great in our garage, too. We just rebuilt our home after a fire, and now do more entertaining than ever before. This is the PERFECT second fridge. Other kinds go sort of wonky after several winters. They start to defrost themselves in the summer and make a huge mess. They can't handle the great variability of outside temperatures between northern summers and winters. This one can.

After suffering through years of uneven temperatures of our old garage refrigerator, we bought this product and learned for the first time that regular refrigerators are not meant to adapt to very cold garage temperatures (we live in Chicago area). What a DIFFERENCE!! This is the best garage refrigerator, and I now feel confident about safely storing food products in the freezer portion (something I could never do before, due to uneven temperatures of our other garage fridge). If anyone lives in a cold climate, you will be so much better off with the Gladiator!! Any climate will be happy with this great product...

The fridge has must have qualities for Upstate NY - insulated, self regulating heat that keeps cans from blowing up in our midwinter nights. It's not cold yet so I couldn't give it a 5 yet, but the quality, flexibility of shelf design is all that I expected. Plastic drawers, so I am sure thy'll inevitably break - but overall quite nice.

I didn't realize there was "really" a difference in a unit built for outside. This really holds the temperature extremely well outside. It's head and shoulders above the "regular" inside refrigerator we were using in the garage before. Of course, we have the whole Gladiator garage system and this was the final crowning jewel.

What a great concept! We were going through garage kept refrigerators every few years, because they were not meant to be in that environment. Researching options on the internet, we came across the Gladiator, sold by ABT. This was exactly what we were looking for, when we didn't even know it existed! The shelves in the door are excellent. They can hold cans/bottles of pop and beer. The inside shelves can be adjusted to meet one's needs. The freezer is ample sized, as well. The exterior is absolutely perfect, if you care about a "total garage look".

Bought regular refregerator and thank goodness we talked to retailer about our use so we were abel to return when freezeer thawed a few days later when temp dropped below 40 degrees. Refrigerator didn't come on so freezer thawed. For unheated garages in climates where temp will drop below 40 degrees, a normal refrigerator won't work since it won;t cycle on and the freezer will thaw. Only the Gladiator models work in such conditions. We chose this one due to energy efficiency and we didn't need a large freezer. Has worked well so far. [...]

I was looking for a refrigerator / freezer unit that possessed extra insulation and would handle residing in a garage along the Gulf Coast. So far, the Chillerator Garage Refrigerator is all that I was looking for. My old, normal inside unit was running almost 24/7, and still was struggling. Granted, it had seen its better days, but I was still eating up the kilowatts on my electric bill. So far, I have noticed a measurable reduction in electricity usage. I won't notice the total impact until next summer, but so far, it all looks positive. I would buy this unit again, and from ABT in a heart beat. ABT delivered as promised.

Most notably, this is a MANs refrigerator! The design and name clearly imply this. It can hold a heck of a lot of beer. You may even let your wife store a few food items (and white wine) in it if she asks nicely. Put a TV and a space heater in your garage for the colder, winter months in the northern climates, and youll be in pig heaven! The man in the house can now divide his time equally between his man cave in the basement, if present, and the good ol garage lounge. It doesnt get any better than this!With its large, easy roll wheels, you are limited only by the length of an extension cord to roll your Gladiator to your neighbors homes for parties and other special occasions. This is a BIG plus! Since it will be running all year round, keep in mind the warmth it generates is a great allure as a home for mice. Place a mousetrap or two behind your fridge and see what you catch. Ive already caught and killed one mouse looking for a winter home. (In case youre wondering, I used peanut butter as bait.) In summary and to date, I am extremely pleased with my GALDIATOR but do check back with me again in four to five years. Nothing is forever.

The Whirlpool Gladiator refridgerator is surely doing it's thing. It's been running well in this 90+ degree heat we've been receiving. We use it as a second fridge to store all the milk we run through in a week for the kids, soda and beer storage, and it's great when we have family get togethers. Lot's of extra fridge storage we need. So far we're very happy. We'll have to see how the compressor does in the winter.

Excellent product. Made,primarily for garage use. Great concept to have the ability to convert from freezer/fridge to full fridge...very versitile. Looks cool in garage. Having wheels on it, makes it easy to install and move.

BOTTOM LINE Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

Very manly looking but door easy to open and close. Worked well right away and didn't have an initial industrial smell. Holds a lot. Sturdy enough that I am not worried about the kids' balls or bikes hitting it.

BOTTOM LINE Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

This Gladiator stuff is exspensive, but worth it. The ideal set up for a garage attached to a kitchen. We put in trays of things that can't fit in the double door kichen refrigerator and beer and wine for the holidays, Men really like the whole track cabinets and armored car motif too.

Best Uses:	Beverages, Thing which don't fit in
Pros:	Macho looking big wheels
Cons:	Silly door trays
