I haven't shopped for an A/C for a very long time. I am very pleased that I have chosen Friedrich. This A/C is everything that I would expect from an A/C. Just do your homework and get the right size/BTU/plug type and you will be very pleased with this choice as well.

Powerful, quiet, easy to use remote.

BOTTOM LINE Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

Great price for a superior product. Cools extremely fast even when fan on slowest speed so that I never use the higher fan speed. Stays very quiet on low fan speed. The only negative is that there is not automatic start and stop for the fan. There is a smartfan feature that will turn the fan speed up and down but not on and off. The timer is an interesting feature but I have not used it yet. The remote is easy to use.

Unit works great and I installed it in about an hour.It fit in my existing fedders "b" sleave using the bak baffle.[...].

After intallation we could not turn the unit on, the temperature control touch panel was broken. If it wasn't for the remote control we would not have been able to use this until at all. [...] Not very happy with unit [...]

Cold, quiet, and not ugly

Installed as a getting-ready-for-sale replacement of old Fedders through-the-wall units. The Friedrich units represent dramatic improvements in every category -- much more effective, much more attractive, much more efficient, much quieter. And they're really precise: I set the thermostat to 75 degrees, and the temperature in the two rooms with the units is consistently 75.
