Great product, come with spikes or rubber foots for the leg.

When using the cable covers on the back, the insertion may chip the wood.

Comments about Sanus 30" Tall Speaker Stand:

Packaging, quality of hardware, ease of construction, condition of goods, all excellent, with one exception: the pieces of flexible plastic trim that attach to the rear of the supporting columns. For each speaker stand, there are two pieces of flexible black plastic that insert into two parallel grooves machined along the length of the support columns. For the first stand, I got both pieces inserted very easily and quickly (just a minute or two). Wondering if the trim fitting concerns I'd read elsewhere might be unjustified, I had problems with the second speaker stand. Using the same 'bit-by-bit' technique for the first stand, it took many attempts to finally get both pieces of plastic to locate properly in the grooves provided (both pieces kept popping out again as I progressed downwards). I couldn't tell if this was a function of the machined grooves, or the fact that the plastic somehow got bent out of kilter, but it strikes me that the dimensions of the grooves & the performance of the plastic pieces is fairly critical for these components to fit together properly.

I should stress, though, that the plastic trim thing isn't a deal-breaker, unless its super critical that you hide the cable, and in time, I suspect that the manufacturer might consider using a plastic material with mechanical properties more conducive to its intended purpose.

A second useful design refinement would be the provision of a recessed groove in the upper surface of the base plate to accommodate the speaker cable - so it doesn't cause the speaker to wobble on the stand.

A third design refinement would be adjustable rubber feet, as many folks live with wood floors that are not flat or even. The feet provided are also rather hard, and could be more flexible & rubbery to provide better grip.

On the whole though, I'm happy with these stands - they support my AudioEngine A5 speakers very nicely, and look lovely too.

Abt have it down with their in-store customer pickup service, and all the staff we dealt with were very helpful and accomodating, despite the store being extremely busy (it was their Independence Day Weekend sale day after all).
