Grill is flat out great -- between the abundance of useful accessories, ease and speed of lighting (and cleaning), 1 ample contiguous work space, thoughtful design, and great charcoal flavor, I'm thrilled I chose this grill over Weber LPs, let alone any other charcoal grill on the market. With charcoal, you have total control over where you create hot/cold zones...and with the LP starter, you're red hot in under 10 min. I've used it 20+ times now and still on original 16 oz lp tank.

this is a good charcoal grill with the hassle free propane lighting.

I LIKE TO BBQ OLD SCHOOL,WITH CHARCOAL.I USED TO USE A TORCH TO START MY COALS.NOT ANY MORE.SINCE THIS GRILL HAS A BUILT IN PROPANE IGNITER FOR THE COALS,IT IS A LOT SAFER.IT'S NOT A GIMMIC.IT REALLY DOES LIGHT THE CHARCOAL FASTER.WEBER ALSO SELLS AN ADAPTER IF YOU WANT TO HOOK UP A LARGER PROPANE TANK INSTEAD OF THE 14.0OUNCE BOTTLE OF PROPANE.THE PROPANE IS NOT USED TO COOK THE MEAT!IT'S JUST FOR LIGHTING THE CHARCOAL.THE SIDE TABLE SURE IS NICE,AND THE CHARCOAL STORAGE BIN UNDER THE TABLE IS CONVEINENT TOO!IF YOU ARE SICK OF CHEAP,DISCOUNT STORE JUNK GRILLS,BUY A WEBER.YOU NEVER REGRET QUALITY.MADE IN PALATINE,ILLINOIS!

Assembly is a breeze , after all it's a Weber. The work surface is really handy and easy to clean,the baskets for charcoal is a very neat item for off heat grilling, I would recommend the fitted cover to keep the "Performer" clean from the elements,

We love this grill. In fact, we are now purchasing it as a gift. The push button propane start works well, eliminating the use of lighter fluid. We also like the charcoal storage bin.
