The drawers |
Consumer Reports recommended this fridge as a good option for counter-depth fridges, and it does not disappoint (although we removed the molding on the back wall to push the fridge back as far as we could). We love having the freezer on the bottom -- a first for us. And the cold, filtered water dispenser inside the fridge is terrific. The drawers and racks are a bit wobbly though, not nearly as smooth while opening and closing as the drawers and racks in my old Maytag fridge, probably because those were smaller. But considering I did not even see this fridge in a store, and just purchased it online, hoping for the best as we remodel our kitchen, I am pleased.

Freezer capacity is smaller than we're used to. Would recommend a second fridge or chest freezer in household for extra capacity.

I think that this is the only counter-depth, stainless steel, french door, bottom-freezer fridge on the market. If that's what you are looking for, this one is great. It's very similar to Maytag's larger H2O model. The freezer is quite small, but we have a second fridge in our basement, so it's not a big deal.

French doors make this suitable for tight spaces. I removed the icemaker to gain more space to freezer, which is smaller than average top-freezer models. Still, I would buy this model again !

Not really enough space |
it is exactly what it says it is: a counterdepth refrigerator. Not the space I was used to, however the doors and configurable shelves make it do the job the best way possible for its size. The cold water dispenser is a nice touch, if not completely convenient in placement.
