Broan 30" Elite Rangemaster Fashion Chimney, Model RM503004

The 50000 Series combines European design with tremendous value to meet the requirements of today's conventional appliance and kitchen styles. Its 270 CFM centrifugal blower and multispeed control provide quiet, effective performance. A fully enclosed bottom contains a dishwasher safe filter for easy cleaning. Plus, dual cooktop illumination.

Features:

European design chimney hood.
Multispeed side control and integrated dual light assembly.
Dual 40-watt incandescent lamps included.
Dishwasher-safe aluminum filter features a quick-release latch and professional style appearance.
Includes non-ducted kit for indoor exhaust recirculation.
Ducted/non-ducted telescopic flue accommodates ceiling heights from 8 to 9 feet. Extension flues for higher ceilings are also available.
Install hood so that the bottom of the unit is 24 to 30 in. above the cooking surface.
Heat Sentry adjusts speed of blower to high in case of excess heat.

BOTTOM LINE Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

Great looking design, four-speed exhaust. Very quiet in keeping cooking odors out of the rest of the house. The only improvement could be adjustable light levels. We discovered that external exhaust of more than 300 CFM required extensive and expensive additional ductwork according to building code. This fits the bill.

This fan had more features than I would have expected at this price point. I would have preferred that it not have a lip around the bottom edge and that the light be recessed a bit more under the hood, but I'm very pleased with it and felt that it was a good value.

Somewhat hard to install using vent through roof for a non-professional. Love the design and fan power. The fan can be loud.

Where has this beauty been all my life? Yesterday I grilled salmon. There was NO odor whatsoever in my kitchen. The design is sophisticated, yet unobtrusive. Perfect for my smallish kitchen.
