It is fast and quiet compared to the manual version of the ice cream maker. You just add the ingredients and press the button. What's not to like?

Now I have this product I make ice creams and frozen yoghurts all the time. The book that comes with the machine has some easy to follow and delicious tasting recipes.

Easy to use and easy to clean

This is my first automatic ice cream maker and I'm impressed with how easy it is to use and clean. The ice cream finishes a little soft in the middle but a little time in the freezer fixes that. My only regret is that there are too many plastic parts, and I fear that when these parts break they may be difficult to replace. I would have paid more for metal mixer and housing parts.

Easy to use once I figured out how to lock down the cover. Biggest disappointment was the noise of the machine.

BOTTOM LINE Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

It is a great product, the ice cream tastes great and it is nice to know what is going in the ice cream since you are the one making it. You know the ice cream hasn't been laying around thawing and refreezing for 6 months. For example, we made strawberry ice cream yesterday...we put whole milk, cream, sugar, and fresh strawberries in it. It was great and it didn't have high fructose corn syrup, sorbate, artificial color, etc.

[...] We are very pleased with our Cuisinart Ice Cream Maker. I enjoy watching the freezer work. I don't have to wait three minutes and turn the crank then wait.... and turn.... You are not required to wait 24 hours for the freezer bucket to be placed in the freezer before making Ice Cream.

Makes delicious creamy ice cream!

Very pleased with the Cuisinart ICE50BC. The machine was a little noisy but I use it in a room next to the kitchen so it was no bother. I use different recipes each time and it works like a charm. I was a little worried the ice cream might be too soft before curing but it has been hard enough to eat right from the machine. I highly recommend this for making your own ice cream or frozen yogurt. Some of my recipes make 2 quarts so my next purchase will be a larger machine.
