It's a microwave. It does "microwavey things." I needed a microwave to fit into a 24" cabinet. Choices are slim. This one fills the bill and works great. Abt was amazingly easy to shop on-line at. I found the best price there and it was delivered to my house in two days.

Replacement microwave

Gets the job done

I purchased this microwave as it was one of only two countertop ovens still available in bisque. Great for popcorn. Pops almost every kernel in the bag without burning. However, I find it doesn't heat evenly. For example, it doesn't evenly melt all the cheese on my nachos like my previous microwave did. It seems to warm/cook a little faster than my previous microwave. It did a great job on my roux. I haven't cooked any casseroles in it as yet.

This microwave works great, seems to be powerful enough for the needs of a family of 4. We have thrown a lot at it: popcorn, frozen dinners, chicken nuggets (for the little guys) and everything has come out evenly cooked. Even though it is a smaller unit, it still seems roomy enough inside. The glass cooking tray sits down into the base to provide more interior cooking height.

Love the JetStart feature. The frozen vegetable feature tends to overcook a little. It's louder than the smaller unit I had previously. I'm not big on the touchy-feely "enjoy your meal" on the display after it finishes, but hey, that's a friendly thought nonetheless. Overall, a good microwave; a top pick at Consumer Reports and the best price I've seen.

Do not buy this microwave!

I had to return this microwave because after four days of use, the door malfunctioned and would not close. Also, the microwave seemed very lightweight and kept scooting backwards on the countertop whenever we closed the door or used the touch controls, so we had to put non-slip material under the feet.

WHILE THE MICROWAVE COOKS FINE AND THE FEATURES ARE GOOD. THE POOR DOOR FUNCTIONING CAUSED THE MICROWAVE TO SLIDE ON THE COUNTER, WHICH WAS VERY ANNOYING. THE MICROWAVE WAS SO LOUD, THAT THE NOISE MAKES IT HARD TO LIVE WITH.

I mainly use the microwave for re-heating meals, for frozen dinners and quick meals, for popcorn and once in a while for defrosting. This oven is perfect for what I need, and it is the only microwave that pops every kernel! Even my previous and more expensive model didn't do that! We are very pleased with the product and with Abt. The price was excellent and it came in less than a week! It was packaged very well also. We will definetly purchase from them again.
