Good product except for the loud buzzer!

We use this product often and with good results. However, the buzzer that lets you know that the clothes are done or almost dry, is very loud and really annoying. We find it very inconvenient that we can not turn off the buzzer!
Pros: Adjustable Settings, Compact, Easy to use, Large Capacity
Best Uses: Bedding, Everyday Clothes, Athletic Clothes
Cons: Noisy, Energy Inefficient

Product is great except for the darn buzzer. I have a child that naps during the day and can not do laundry in fear of the buzzer. There is no way to disconnect it. I should have known based on other product reviews, but it is louder than I expected.

The unit does a great job but is not as quiet as I expected. Living in a loft, the washer dryer unit is next the living space and I was hoping for a quiet machine. It does a great job washing clothes!

I do about 4-5 loads of laundry every 3-4 weeks (I get it all done once a month). My wife washes a small load every weekend. The product is fantastic (size, space, load size, operation, cleaning ability), EXCEPT for the loud buzzer at the end. I'm not sure who it's trying to notify, but I bet you could hear it next door.

I use my washer/dryer at least three times a week. It surprisingly held alot more clothes than I thought it would. The only con is the loud buzzer. You can't adjust that, but otherwise it's a great product!

Great Stack W/D
Reviewed by Mike (Frequent User) from Brookfield, IL on Jul 18, 2010
Verified Buyer
BOTTOM LINE Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
I just purchased a new townhome and the builders standard stack W/D had smaller capacity and it was a top load washer. I have researched W/D's and lot and wanted as a large capacity for both washer and dryer plus I wanted front load on the washer as it cleans clothes better and is very energy efficient. The unit is quiet. I chose to get a builder credit for the unit that they were going to provide and went with the upgrade model at ABT. The unit costs more than the normal Frigidaire top load stack, but it is worth it.

Pros: Large Capacity, Quiet, Easy to use, Gets Tough Stains, Adjustable Settings, Compact, Energy efficient

Good washer/dryer, ridiculous buzzer
Reviewed by D (Frequent User) from Chicago,IL on May 24, 2010

BOTTOM LINE Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
The washer/dryer has worked flawlessly since day one. The operation of the unit itself is pretty quiet, but when your load is done, the buzzer that goes off is way too loud. I would think most stacked washer/dryers are in relatively small apartments or condos, like mine, but the buzzer in this thing could be heard from all corners of a 8,000 sq ft home. I'm still trying to find out how to disable it. I read about the buzzer before buying, but discounted the comments.....I shouldn't have.

This product is so quiet, except when filling. Being a RN I'm always washing scrubs and need them to be super clean. This fits the bill. It's nice to have a full size washer/dryer in a small space. Agree with the other reviews about the buzzer, it startles the heck out of me everytime it goes off.
Cons: Annoying buzzer

Looks great and works very well. Only complaint is the loud and long buzzer that goes off when wash/dry is complete. Seems unneccessary for a compact w/d which is typically used in a small space. It is loud but it doesn't wake up my sleeping baby whose room is very nearby in our condo (note we do use a white noise machine in her room)

Energy star - works well!
Reviewed by Kahanatina (Frequent User) from Chicago on Jan 11, 2010

Just got it today and have done 5 loads. It runs quietly and seems to clean everything quite well. The lint tray is small and somewhat flimsy; lint seems to fall inward pretty easily. Agree with others that a buzzer shut-off would be nice--it is a bit long and def. loud but I can deal with it as it was more important to me to have a quality product, a front loader and an energy star appliance.
Cons: Can't shut-off buzzer

I'm very pleased with this purchase. I like the front-loader washer, because it leaves the shelf for folding clothes. The machine is extremely quiet while it's running -- all you hear is when the water fills and then the extremely loud buzzer at the end. I also think it leaves the clothes cleaner and smelling fresher.

We have had our new washer/dryer for three weeks and I really like it. Our clothes seem to be a lot cleaner. The only downside is that both the washer and dryer have very noisey buzzers at the end of their cycles with no way to turn them off. But with stackable machines you don't get a lot of choices so I think this is a great product.

Not only does it go off once, but 4 times during the drying cycle for about 20 secs...ridiculous. They should use these buzzers instead of our fire alarms.

At install, the dryer did not work. [...] When the service tech finally arrived, the problem was a simple electrical connection that was not pluged-in. To quote the tech," someone was asleep at the factory". I'm thankful it was an easy and quick fix and hopefully does not reflect on the overall qaulity of the product ( it's been working fine so far ). One more thing, it's true from reviews I read about this and other models of one-piece laundry stations, the buzzer is indeed very loud.

This is the second stack unit that I have owned; the first being an apartment size; and the one I just purchased being a large-size unit. Prior to my purchase, I had done considerable research into the different type washer/dryer combinations so when I made the purchase I was prepared. Actually, I was so confident in what I was purchasing that I made the transaction over the Internet. Delivery and setup was handled very professionally. I wasn't quite prepared for the pleasant surprise as to how quiet this unit is. I put the first load into the unit (front load washer) added soap softener, selected the water temp and cycle. I turned it on and the water entered the washer. I was waiting for the unit to start and much to my surprise, the washer was already in motion. It is so quiet that I often check on it to make sure everything is okay. I am also pleased by the High Eneregy Efficiency rating. I am very pleased with this purchase.
