Weber Ranch Kettle Charcoal Grill - 60020

King sized grill slow cooks ribs to tender, juicy perfection. The massive cooking area lets you have any number of different heating combinations such as high heat for searing meat, a medium area for cooking it and a low area for keeping food warm on the grill. I use the Ranch for making the panini meat and fire cooking corn on the cob still in the husk. My "little" 22" weber grill I press the panini's on and having two grill's going at the same time is incredible. Just make sure you stock up on charcoal. I prefer natural lump because it does not leave behind as much ash as briquets. This helps a lot since the Ranch only has vent holes underneath (like the kind you usually find on the cover of smaller grills). Either push the ash through the under-vents and into the ash catcher underneath or scoop them out. We own all sizes of Webers. 1- real small, 1- 18", 2 -22" and now the Big One! They last for years. We have had one 22" Weber for over 10 yrs., it just now has burned through to the outside. We use them on the weekends, holidays, weekdays, camping, and Ravens Tail Gaiting! My husband is our "Grill Master" and he needed a new one so I got the Kettle for him for fathers day. Webers cook the best! Only in a Weber!

I purchased this for my wife for her birthday. She fell in love with the giant Weber a year ago when we attended [...]. The large area and the controllable heat are the features that really make this grill great. All it needs is a temperature guage in the lid, which I will install myself. We had a party last week with 12 dinner guests and a fully grill-cooked menu. The giant Weber actually makes this possible (although I also used a couple of my other grills for certain items).

The Ranch Kettle grill is great. I have cooked 8 slabs of ribs and 30+ pieces of chicken at one time. I can't wait until the summer actually gets here.

I purchased this item as a gift for my husband who is an avid griller. This grill is so large that it is no longer necessary to use multiple grills for gatherings. This grill has been honored as the "favorite". It's a Weber, so I'm anticipating many years to enjoy this fantastic grill.

I bought these grills both for professional and personal use. They are fabulous. As a outdoor cooking enthusiast and professional grill master, I only grill over a hardwood charcoal fire which burns much hotter than propane or regular charcoal briquettes. A good grill needs to withstand the high heat produced by hardwood charcoal. This grill's porcelain enamel coating does a superb job. Many grills large enough for industrial use are harmed by very high heat which ultimately reduces their lifespan. I expect these grills to last. Also, many large charcoal grills intended for industrial use don't have a lid, which is crucial for controlling proper cooking temps and capturing the perfect smoke flavor. This grill also features a convenient system to hold the lid when you don't want to cover the grill. Many large charcoal grills are rectangular. The rectangular shape does make it easier to reach any spot of the grilling surface without walking around the grill or holding your arm over the fire for too long. However the kettle shape of this grill provides much more even heat distribution and minimizes hot spots and cold spots, which in my opinion is worth having to take an extra step around the grill to reach all the cooking area. True these don't have all the fancy bells & whistles you'll find on large gas burning grills. Rather they just have everything you need to grill food to perfection. If you want to impress people with your grill, I suppose there are better choices out there. But if you want to impress people with your food, you don't need anything more than this. Weber has a longstanding reputation of quality grilling equipment which is born out by this grill. The only thing I would change on this grill would be a slight modification to the cooking grate. Many of my smaller Weber grills have a hinged grate which allows for access to the fire to stir the charcoal, or add wood chips or additional charcoal without completely removing the grate. However this grill's grate is not hinged.
