We Make 2 pots everyday. This was a replacement for one bought 4 years ago that finally died. Keeps coffee hot for long time. Would have liked longer life, but this has actually lasted longer than some of our previous less expensive coffee makers.

The top is rather flimsy. Kind of like an old Mr. Coffee. Doesn't close tightly. Not as good as other Cuisinart products I own.

Have had it 5 years, after 2 it stopped working, I took it apart and found the controller (under the display) had been corroded by watter getting in. I fixed it by replacing some of the tracks. Cuisinart need to make this more waterproof, now it's not working correctly again. not sure i want to buy another.

This is our second one. The first one died after three years but most of our pots haven't lasted that long. The one con is that you have to remember to shut off the automatic brew if you don't plan on using it the next day, most pots force you to turn it on every day. I think that might be the cause of the early death. But we like the 12 cup thermal pot because we hate burnt coffee.

Not as good as it seems

I was very unhappy with this product. The basket did not hold enough coffee for the pot size. I had a mess on my counter on many occasions. The cap does not screw in easily to the carafe and if not in exactly on thread will cause the coffee to brew all over the place. I am very unhappy with the cleanup of this pot.

Poorly made and unreliable coffee maker

I have had two of these units fail in spite of cleaning them scrupulously and always using filtered water. When the first one failed I wrote it off to bad luck, but its replacement[$]lasted only two years. The exotic screws on the underside make it clear that the manufacturers do not want the owners to repair the units. I will never buy Cuisinart again!
