GE Undercabinet Mounting Kit - JXA019K

The contractors had to manipulate this a little bit to make it fit my microwave, but it did the job. Abt sent it out immediately and we could move forward without waiting for the mounting kit.

To hang a microwave under a cabinet...a great addition to gain space in the kitchen. Easy to install in the end, though intimidating at first!

Does what it's supposed to.

Worked as advertised for my GE microwave, BUT....one bit of advice I'd offer is to drill the holes in your cabinet using a bigger drill bit than the instructions call for (I believe they say to use a 1/4" bit). You have NO room for minute adjustments using a 1/4" hole and the brackets supplied with the kit are large and sturdy enough for you to enlarge the hole so that you can thread the screws through to the microwave with no trouble. I would've saved myself the time and aggrevation had I just used a larger drill bit from the start.

Easy to use and install until the template was off by almost an inch. In a tight space it was very difficult to modify the holes. The screws were in the right position for the unit, but back an inch from where they should have been. This may be because my model number was different than listed , but it said on the site it would work. I checked the measurement and the template afterword to be sure it wasn't my fault.

I bought my microwave to mount under cabinets above range/stove but, b/c my microwave was not a microhood, could not use...apparent safety hazard. Had to return mounting kit at my own expense but wish it was stated that regular microwaves cannot be mounted over a stove/range when I purchased. [...]

Used this kit to install the GE Profile Microwave 1.0 under my 33" cabinet. Worked very well, strong hold. Was able to easily build around the microwave after hanging. Nice flush look!

The product was great and served our needs at a much cheaper cost than going direct to GE. The only drawback is the instructions did not say "how" to use the rear brackets. just that you "need" to use them. We figured it out eventually but it took a few hours.

If you don't have a lot of counter space this product makes mounting a microwave easy. It's sturdy and was easy to install! thanks!

Initially the multiple parts/pieces and templates seemed confusing. Once you know which screws and template it was very easy to install. Went up in 15mins and freed up my counters by getting the microwave off of them.

The template kit was somewhat confusing at first glance. However, the setup mounted my GE microwave well and attractively. I have seen ratings that said it was a waste of money and the screws could (possibly) be purchased for much less. That is not the case. I searched the internet for the size of metric screws to mount in a cabinet and couldn't find any long enough. If you want to mount the microwave you have to use their template kit that has the screws. Thank goodness Abt has a great price for this item as it is 3 X more expensive elsewhere.

Couldn't be easier to use. All you have to do is measure the distance between the holes on top of the Microwave, use the template that matches the distance, drill the holes and hang the Microwave. An excellent design, well thought out.

First thing to do is sort through the instructions and parts and set aside the ones that do not apply, which will be the majority.

Hanging kit really freed up counterspace and made it look more attractive. And also more useful.

If I was given the template and the four bolts nothing else was needed. I received three different sizes of templates, three different sizes of bolts and a set of rear hanging plates. So I have a lot of spare parts now and basically I needed only 4 bolts. Waste of my money and a lot of material.

Great just what I was looking for.

Easy to install.

The template was useful. The bracket holds the microwave. But it is really just 4 screws that go through the bottom of the cabinet and, with luck, line up with the threaded holes in the top of the microwave. Bottom line is Yes/No.

A bit confusing initially to figure out the installation but a great product. Undercabinet mounting is the way to go if you don't have other options.

Instructions are confusing. Threw away most of the hardware and ended up using just the four screws and a couple of the simple brackets. In retrospect, I could have figured out how to execute the undermount for about one-tenth the cost by picking up 4 screws[...].

This installation kit contains cabinet placement and drilling templates for various models, reinforcement straps for inside the cabinet, and assorted size machine screws and brackets to hang the microwave in differing conditions. It had all parts needed to install our new microwave under a cabinet. The hardware probably cost GE a couple of bucks, making the [$] price seem pretty inflated - but other vendors are selling the same thing for [$]! Apparently, much of the purchase prices buys convenience, as it did allow us to self-install our microwave quickly and easily.

It came in small pieces, and while it served the purpose, it could have been engineered more simply.

It was a little confusing to figure it out which part to use with the microwave we puchased. I think the company has to list the specific mounting kit that goes with each microwave model. It would save alot of guess work. Once we figured it out, the rest was easy.

This is my third GE Spacemaker and I hung it under my cabinets. The size is great(fits a 13x9 glass pan) yet is very trim. I like the add thirty seconds feature, delayed timer and carousel. The beeper is very loud and a bit annoying. I had to buy the hanging kit extra which I didn't need to do for my previous one. Longevity is probably average for the price. Just the counter space I save is worth it to me.

The mounting kit is very overpriced. Basically it is 4 screws and 2 rails for $[...]. But what are you gonna do? Should be more like $[...].
